• (2022-03-22) Roshank231: Works well enough, much much better than having to sit through the ads anyway. it plays in 480p while ads are playing which is fine, but it does freeze when ads start/stop playing for a couple moments. Overall, i still very much recommend it. its still leaps more watchable then sitting through 4 or 5 ads every 20 minutes. Recently twitch have enforced the use of ads more and more aggressively too, this tweak makes the platform so much more usable.

Now, it "locks" streams to 480p while blocking ads, which (thanks to the absurd ammount of ads Twitch pushes inito you) makes streams run on 480p for minutes. Other than that, I think it works well. Also it doesn't exactly work with embeds on other websites but I don't know how much that can be helped. Thanks for the extension!

Latest issues

• (2022-03-18, v:5.3.3) m j: Twitch changing quality to 480p well after ad's have been blocked.
  Best way to "fix" this is by setting the twitch player to Auto quality, but still sometimes the player will automatically set its self to 480p. If I manually set it to the highest quality it sets it back every 3-5 minutes. I assume this is Twitch detecting the ad blocker or something.

  Thank you for this extension! It's so valuable when doing demonstrations of Twitch and teaching people about it. It also helps avoid those awful horror themed ads that scream, etc. When I am playing a music stream and do work in another tab, the stream seems to stop and start periodically, or sometimes will stop entirely until I switch back to it. Also, if a channel raids to another channel, a background tab won't follow the raid. Which is a great feature, and something sleeping people have been begging Twitch for, but I'd love to be able to turn that on and off, because when I'm not sleeping, I want to follow the raid train.   So basically, when watching a twitch stream, when it plays ads, the "blockings ads" symbol in the top left comes up. However, it doesn't switch into 480p, and instead it just starts buffering and I need to pause/unpause in order to stop the buffer, but doing that scuffs the stream and will sometimes keep pausing/unpausing or goes back in time 30~ seconds. I always watch stream in "Source" and I have all other ad blockers disabled.

  Basically, whenever the ad happens and it says "Blocking ads" etc, it buffers the stream, and the only way to make it stop is to pause and unpause which causes some weird bugs with it going back in time and it takes like 15 seconds for it to get back to the actual stream. Also, I noticed that it takes much more time to load streams using the extension, well over 2x the normal time it takes. Are there any known fixes for these or any troubleshooting I can do?

  I'm not certain exactly what conditions are causing the stream to crash but most streams I try to watch crash whenever they try to run an ad. I mainly watch MoonMoon and never have any crashes through the whole stream (I am subbed so no ads) but then if I tune into Sneaky the stream won't crash when he's in a League match but then crashes repeatedly until he gets back into a game so I'm guessing it's when ads are running. Just now I was trying to watch ESL_CSGO and it would crash 5 seconds into the stream. Once I disabled this adblocker it stopped crashing but of course the ads started again. I can't find anyone else with this issue but I started probably about a week or so ago I think.

  Nothing's changed (updated, deleted, or changed) on my end. Extension still enabled with everything set. Now pre-roll ads are kicking in (and I don't usually watch long enough to get ads mid-stream). I've even disabled all other extensions and the pre-rolls still kick in on each stream load. I'm sad now. :(

  Hi, sorry to bother but I was curious if it would be possible to maybe add into the extension settings an option to pick the guaranteed quality that it swaps to during ads, for example when im watching a stream with a really bad connection and im watching at 480p and then when the "ads" start the stream changes to 1080p 60fps and my internet cant handle it and it just buffers the entire time until ad is over.. (basically the same experience as having the ads bcuz it is disrupting the viewing experience) all was working good before bcuz it was only doing 480p ads but I think this most recent update added up to 1080p and its automatically defaulting to the highest. I understand if this is not possible but I thought I would atleast ask, Thank you
