We want to change the world and we need your help! We didn’t want to wait any longer so we released our Shopping Coach beta early to get valuable user feedback.

Tera develops tools and technologies to make it easy for consumers to shop healthily and sustainably for you, your family, and our planet.
Toxic chemicals are ubiquitous in US consumer products, impacting our health and the environment. The average person is exposed to more than 100+ chemicals daily. Chemical exposure has been linked to rising rates of cancer, asthma, autism, reproductive problems, and other health issues, as well as impacting our environment.
Less than 1% of the 40,000 chemicals used have been tested for human and environmental safety. In cosmetics, the EU has banned or restricted more than 1,300 chemicals while the US has restricted only 11.
Shopping for safer, healthier products is hard…. very hard ☹.
So, when it comes to shopping safely, most of us don’t even know where to start and don’t have the knowledge to understand the impact of thousands of chemicals used as ingredients in our everyday consumer products.
That is why Tera developed the Shopping Coach Chrome extension: to help you identify potentially dangerous ingredients in products and find better alternatives to replace them.

Finally there is an easy way to cut through the manufacturer B.S. greenwashing and understand what is in the products I use. More importantly, this tool gives you alternatives that have better ingredients and makes it easy to buy them.
