Description from store This chrome extension creates a context menu (right-click menu) which opens a new page showing metadata it discovered about the image or link. Some information it will always get right: the page you were on, what link you right-clicked, or the date. Other bits of data it attempts to infer from the page: - Link to license or licenses. - Name of the author or authors. - Link to the author's page. - Description of the image. Sometimes it is unable to retrieve this information or gets the wrong information but you can change the data as you see fit. From this second page you can the media, and save the metadata about the media in two files. The metadata is saved in JSON format as a text file. On Linux machines I've also provide simple python script (http://code.google.com/p/media-attribution/source/browse/scripts/watch.py) to watch one or more directories where you are downloading the media to ensure the filenames match the metadata, among other things. With this extension you can quickly grab Creative Commons (CC) material for a presentation or report and maintain the information required for proper attribution.
