Rotate URLs in one Chrome tab.

Image from store Rotisserie URL Rotator
Description from store Automatically rotate through URLs in one tab. =================================== Due to the way Chrome Extension storage is handled, there is no way (that I'm aware of) to save the URLs during an upgrade. I'm looking into a way to do bulk updates. =================================== Rotisserie takes your currently selected tab and rotates through URLs that you provide pausing for the amount of seconds you set (minimum 15 seconds) and continuing until you close the tab. Rotisserie was created for using Google Chrome to create a kiosk-like display either in fullscreen mode or to a Chromecast (with the Google Cast extension) where you would like to display rotating internet (or offline) content. Change the refresh rate and URL settings by right-clicking on the Rotisserie icon next to your address bar and choosing "Options". v1.0.3: Bug Fix: Fixed bug where URLs were being truncated on the options page. Removed restriction for "http:" and "https:" protocols only. v1.0.2: Updated options to allow the refresh rate to be set per URL. Added the ability to show URLs randomly. v0.4.5 - v1.0.1: Non-release versions. Thanks Preem. v0.4.4: Bug Fix: Fixed active state not being set properly. v0.4.3: Initial Public Release

  • (2019-08-01) Bryan Dickson: + GREAT utility for dashboards - Configuration UI is a little clunky. - dual screen/window support would be nice
  • (2019-07-11) Bruno Furtado: Very good. It would be interesting if you had the option of an auto scroll or scroll position.
  • (2019-06-21) Phillipe Gandini: It has been useful to cast network log pages to Chromecast. I configure all the pages that I want to monitor and the extension automatically slides and refreshes on TV. The design is simple but very effective, and the extension doesn't request intrusive permissions.
  • (2019-06-06) Matthew McKenzie: Love this extension. I have a TV with a built in chrome cast right above my desk, and wanted to cycle between github, slack, and email while working. I did notice a small bug while casting: if you open up Rotisserie as the only tab in a window, cast the tab, then minimize it (I keep the tab I'm casing minimized and out of the way), then the tab stops navigating between pages. I'm not sure if the extension needs background permissions or what, but I can work around this by having a second blank tab open (and focused) while its minimized. Great extension, thanks DEV!

  • (2017-08-13) ScorpioXVirgo: Super useful!
  • (2017-04-19) Steve Wierenga: Easy to use and works well. It would be nice if there was an autostart feature/kiosk mode so it would start with chrome.
  • (2017-04-18) Niko B: Need the ability to read off a .csv.
  • (2017-04-13) Jared Palmer: It does exactly what it says. Very handy for scrolly monitors with different screens showing.
  • (2017-02-17) Stinus Andersen: 3 minutes flat from searching to first example running. Fantastic for a non-tech like me. Now I just need to figure out how to get it to auto-start when Chrome is started? Anyone?
  • (2017-02-09) Edu Piquer: It delivers what it promises perfectly. Its usage is very useful and simple. Thanks!
  • (2016-08-26) Hieu Hua: Useful extension, but somehow it is quite difficult to manage the urls. I'd prefer using csv to manage the urls.
  • (2016-06-03) Ian Miller: exactly what i needed. enter in a few URLs and a delay for each and rotisserie rotates between those URLs based on the delay for each. simple, no surprise ads. min delay for each rotation is 15 seconds.
  • (2016-01-11) Perfect!

  • (2019-06-06, v:1.0.3) Matthew McKenzie: Minor Issue: Rotisserie stops navigating while minimized & casting on Chrome for Mac.
Use Case: I use Rotisserie to cast and cycle through github, slack, and email to a TV in my office. I often minimize my Rotisserie tab/window to keep it out of the way. Issue: If you open up Rotisserie as the only tab in a window, cast the tab, then minimize the window, it appears that rotisserie stops navigating between pages. Opening up the minimized window will immediately resolve the issue. Workaround: If open a second blank tab and keep that one focused, I can then use and cast Rotisserie as expected. So it would appear the bug is only present when Rotisserie has focus & is minimized. Again, works just fine as long as it's not the focused tab. The workaround is fine, just wanted to make you aware of the bug. Thanks for the extension!
