Yasumi (休み) means “break” or “rest” in Japanese. This extension is built around that simple idea: instead of slipping into distraction, you pause with purpose.
By default, yasumi blocks distracting sites so you can stay focused and in flow. When you need a pause, you can consciously unlock access for a short, intentional break and then return refreshed.
Unlike many focus tools that ask you to decide when to block yourself, yasumi inverts the approach: focus is the default. You don’t have to choose to be disciplined every time; you only choose when to rest. That simple shift makes focus effortless, and turns breaks into something you actively value rather than drift into.
No more mindless scrolling, no endless rabbit holes. Just focused work, and mindful rests when you choose them.
Key Features:
* Block distracting sites by default
* Take short, intentional breaks on your own schedule
* Regain control over your attention and time
* Simple, lightweight, and distraction-free design
With yasumi, you don’t just stop distractions, you transform them into opportunities for mindful rest.
