Description from extension meta

Edge side panel companion for Color Palette Builder.

Description from store

CPB Companion is a focused side-panel tool for designers and developers who work with color every day. Capture the colors already living in your webpages, organize them with lightweight attributes, and export a palette you can use anywhere. Works great on its own—and pairs perfectly with the Color Palette Builder desktop app for a complete palette workflow.

This extension is a companion to Color Palette Builder (by Force5Dev)—a full-featured palette management tool available in the Microsoft Store.

What you can do
• Right-click any page area and add discovered colors from real, computed styles (text, borders, fills, strokes, and gradient tokens).
• Use the Eyedropper (when supported) to pick any on-screen color.
• Organize swatches quickly with Name, Group, and State fields; batch-edit selections in one go.
• Export your work as a native .cpb palette file or a simple text list of hex values.
• Send selected colors—or the current page URL—directly to the Color Palette Builder desktop app.

Why it’s different
• Local-first: palettes and settings are stored in your browser.
• No analytics: no tracking, no external scripts.
• Minimal and fast: built for quick capture, quick edits, and clean hand-off.

Designed for real pages
• Reads colors from computed styles, not just hard-coded tokens.
• De-duplicates and shows usage counts so you can focus on what’s actually used.
• Light and dark UI themes that follow your system or your preference.

Works great with Color Palette Builder (desktop)
• Open your exported .cpb files directly in the desktop app.
• Use “Send to CPB” for a verified clipboard hand-off from the browser to the app.
• Use “Send Page to CPB” to jump straight into URL-based import on desktop.
Color Palette Builder is available separately in the Microsoft Store (publisher: Force5Dev).

Privacy
• No analytics. No ads. No cloud sync.
• The extension only reads page data when you explicitly capture colors or pick with the Eyedropper.

Permissions (plain-English)
• sidePanel, contextMenus, scripting, storage: core features of the UI and capture.
• tabs/activeTab: read the current tab URL when you choose “Send Page to CPB.”
• clipboardWrite: copy your selected palette for desktop hand-off.
• downloads: save your .cpb or .txt exports with the filename you choose.

Note
Some special pages (e.g., browser settings) and local files may block extensions or require enabling access. Eyedropper availability depends on your browser version.
