Take notes on any web page. Right-click to add a note; pages with notes show a button that opens a Markdown WYSIWYG editor.
Web Notes lets you keep Markdown notes tied to specific web pages, right inside your browser.
KEY FEATURES
- Notes bound to URLs: right-click any page to add a note. When you return, a floating notebook button appears at the bottom-right only on pages that already have a note.
- WYSIWYG editor: a Typora-style live-rendering Markdown editor (powered by Vditor) opens in place, fully offline.
- Three URL matching modes: smart (ignores tracking parameters), exact, or whole-site, so notes show up exactly where you want.
- Notes manager: browse all notes as cards, full-text search with highlighting, edit in a popup, multi-select bulk delete and export.
- Optional AI summary: one click to summarize the current page's content into a note.
- Optional AI Q&A: ask questions grounded in your own saved notes.
PRIVACY FIRST
All notes and settings are stored only in your local browser. The extension has no server of its own and never uploads your data. AI features are fully optional and only work if you provide your own OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, AI requests go only to the endpoint you configure.
