How It Works

1. Set Up: Create your master password and configure your preferred security settings.

2. Lock: Browser Profile Lock protects your active session when you manually lock it, your configured idle timeout is reached, or browser restart protection is enabled.

3. Unlock: Enter your master password to regain access to your protected session. Your previously open tabs can then be restored.

Privacy & Security

Browser Profile Lock uses local browser storage for its authentication information and security configuration. Browser permissions are used specifically for session protection, tab management, navigation detection, inactivity detection, and maintaining your security settings.

The extension is designed to protect your browser session rather than monitor your online activity. It does not require access to the contents of webpages for its core locking functionality and is not designed for advertising, user profiling, or tracking.
