Pour travailler, les professionnels peuvent avoir besoin de nombreuses applications Web et parfois de deux navigateurs : un premier, moderne, sécurisé, rapide, et optimisé pour les dernières normes du Web, et un second permettant d'accéder à des applications Web plus anciennes basées sur ActiveX ou des plug-ins. En autorisant les services informatiques à définir des règles indiquant quels sites doivent être lancés dans un navigateur secondaire, la solution Legacy Browser Support de Google Chrome permet aux utilisateurs de basculer automatiquement entre Google Chrome et un autre navigateur.
L'extension Legacy Browser Support de Google Chrome est gérée par l'intermédiaire de règles et ne fonctionne que dans des environnements gérés. And I cannot remove it properly from Chrome as it comes back when I restart my computer. I really recommend to NOT install this extension.

- (2019-12-02) Phil Hillary: We've recently implemented Legacy Browser Support in our organisation and it works really well, in that the websites we've listed in the GPO setting "Websites to open in alternative browser" will open with IE as expected. However, I was under the assumption that if you then try to open a website in IE that isn't in the "Websites to open in alternative browser" list (let?s say https://www.bbc.co.uk), then this site would redirect back to and open with Chrome? This doesn't appear to be working for us and instead of opening in Chrome, we just get our default Chrome web page.
