Any speed problems I run into are from slow WiFi connections taking my Laptop to different locations. nnAs of right now, I have yet to find a video that didn't download properly. I have run into the issue where the downloader reads advertisements as videos and it's annoying to find the video I want, but it's not a deal breaker.nnSimply put, a very good add-on for chrome.

(2023-05-08) Tandeko: Useful, but prone to failure. Most websites work fine, but every now and then it will fail to detect that a movie can be downloaded, making it useful but not a perfect solution. Still, this is a problem I've had with every video downloader. As far as extensions go it's still one of, if not the best option for the task.

(2023-05-04) Kamylla Zild: I see where everyone is complaining because you click on the green download arrow and then you have to click another icon because of how YouTube handles downloads but I have no problem with having to do that as I'm able to get my videos that I want to be able to view offline when I don't have internet connection because I usually download instructional videos and I can't always be online so it's nice to have the ability to get it offline so I can watch it. So I'm pretty happy with how this extension works.

My computer-repair guy enabled my awareness on this point, and after I bought a good quality modem, all of those problems went away.nnNotably, doing a full system scan and getting rid of malware on a regular basis is also good advice which can contribute to your computer working faster.
(2023-05-04) Walter Hugo Rocadore: This is better than the premium flash downloaders (TubeHunter, others) are by miles. The others automatically detect videos and prompt to download them which is very annoying when there are flash ads or when scrubbing/seeking through a video. This one waits for the user to play a video, then adds a green icon to the corner. Nothing intrusive or annoying, you just click the green button and it quietly downloads the video. I really can't think of anyway to make this app better except for a format converter, but even then it's still perfect.

That being said, this is a wonderful extension for Chrome that does a good job downloading most videos that are not specially protected by the person posting the video, or the video is on YouTube, which is understandable as Google owns both YouTube and Chrome browser.
