Add notes to YouTube videos
YouTube Notes helps you take notes while watching YouTube videos. All your data stays on your device - nothing is sent to any server.
When watching long tutorials, lectures, or reviews, it's easy to forget key moments. YouTube Notes lets you capture thoughts and ideas with a single click, automatically saving the video timestamp so you can jump back to the exact moment later.
How it works:
- Click the floating button on any YouTube video to open the notes panel
- Add a note - the current video timestamp is captured automatically
- Click any timestamp to jump back to that moment in the video
- Access all your notes from the extension popup or the full-page view
Key features:
- Timestamped notes with one-click seek back to the video moment
- Floating overlay on YouTube that doesn't interfere with the player
- Popup view for quick access to your recent notes
- Full-page view for browsing notes across all your videos
- Badge counter showing how many notes you have for the current video
- Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Enter to save, Escape to cancel
- Available in 9 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese
- Full right-to-left support for Arabic
Your data is yours. Notes are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No accounts, no cloud sync, no tracking - just a simple tool to help you stay productive.
Perfect for students, researchers, and anyone who watches long-form content and wants to remember what matters.
