Set Live Wallpaper

Make every new tab feel like a place you want to return to.

Set Live Wallpaper replaces Chrome’s New Tab page with a calm, fast and deeply customizable space. Choose a lightweight living scene, use your own video, keep the essentials close, or hide everything and enjoy the wallpaper.

YOUR WALLPAPER, YOUR WAY

• Six smooth built-in motion wallpapers that work offline
• Use your own MP4, WebM or MOV video as the background
• Balanced, Chrome-like and ultra-minimal “Wallpaper only” layouts
• Adjustable dimming, accent color, glass strength, grain, clock size and alignment
• Independent switches for the clock, date, greeting, search, shortcuts, tasks, music, focus tools, labels and more

LOCAL MUSIC AND AMBIENT SOUND

• Connect a local music folder and play tracks directly from your device
• Music files are not uploaded or copied to a server
• Previous, next, play/pause, seeking, volume and automatic queue controls
• Large audio-reactive Sound Space and an optional liquid-glass mini player
• Four endless ambient scenes generated locally

FOCUS AND EVERYDAY TOOLS

• Add and remove website shortcuts
• Keep a lightweight local to-do list
• Start a 15, 25 or 50 minute focus session

FAST AND RESOURCE-CONSCIOUS

The interface appears immediately. Animation pauses in hidden tabs, media resources are released when no longer needed, and Eco, Auto and Full quality modes let you choose the right balance for your device.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account. No analytics. No ads. No browsing-history access. No remote code.

Settings, tasks, shortcuts and uploaded wallpaper videos stay in your local browser profile. Access to a selected music folder is read-only, and tracks are played directly from your device.

Open a new tab. Make it yours.

Note: Audio and video playback depends on the formats and codecs supported by the installed version of Chrome.
