DFTT(Don't feed the trolls) is a specialized browser extension designed to help users create a cleaner, more personalized web browsing experience across numerous popular Korean and global forums, blogs, and social networks. It empowers you to selectively hide posts and comments made by specific users on a wide range of sites, including well-known platforms like DCInside, Naver, Daum, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. This targeted content filtering helps you eliminate unwanted distractions—such as spoilers, spam, trolling, or simply posts from users whose content you prefer not to see—allowing you to focus solely on the discussions and contributors that matter most.
Operating seamlessly as a content script, DFTT dynamically detects and modifies page content across diverse forums and social media platforms without interrupting your browsing experience. Upon installation, the extension provides a convenient popup user interface where you can effortlessly manage your blocklist, view users whose posts are currently hidden, and configure customized site-specific rules. It further integrates with your browser’s context menu, enabling you to block users directly with a right-click action on any post, comment, or user name. Changes are applied immediately with no need to refresh pages or switch tabs, streamlining the content filtering process and preserving workflow continuity.
The extension’s detection capabilities are intelligently tailored to each supported site using advanced DOM querying, pattern matching, and locale-specific adjustments to reliably identify author elements in various layouts and themes. Sophisticated synchronization features leverage browser’s storage API to keep your blocklist consistent and up-to-date across multiple devices, ensuring your curated browsing settings travel with you. For advanced users, it enforces configurable limits on blocklist size and delivers informative real-time notifications about blocking actions, threshold alerts, and configuration updates. These thoughtful design elements ensure robust control and transparency throughout your use.
