After two months of focused development, it's now relatively stable in terms of functionality. It's available on the Edge Web Store with nearly 300 users. I developed a Edge browser extension: Cerebr (/ˈsɛrɪbr/). I found HARPA really useful, but it only offers 50 free conversations, even with custom API integration. I also tried Sider, but it had that typical Chinese software feel with excessive ads and flashy interfaces, so I uninstalled it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a sidebar product in the market that I liked, despite having a real need for asking questions while browsing. Perplexity is good too, but I found myself too lazy to even switch tabs. So I decided to create my own, and thus Cerebr was born. "Cerebr" is a Latin root related to "brain" or "cerebrum." This root appears in many brain or thinking-related words. I aim to integrate the powerful capabilities of Claude, OpenAI, and other AI services - Cerebr serves as your second brain, providing deep reading and comprehension support. Key Features: • Multi-platform implementation with a single codebase. Sidebar: Access in any browser tab through keyboard shortcuts (Default Windows: Alt+Z / Mac: Ctrl+Z). • Supports web deployment on Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, and Vercel. No installation needed, access your personal chat interface from any browser, anywhere. • Supports Mac desktop application and PWA installation. • Configuration sync: Cross-browser API configuration synchronization for easy settings sharing across devices. • Multiple API support: Configure multiple APIs to generate different AI assistants. • Webpage and PDF Q&A support: Enable Q&A for webpage content, automatic PDF detection and parsing, and local PDF file Q&A. The PDF feature is particularly useful - I use Cerebr daily while browsing Arxiv, making it my paper reading companion. • Image Q&A support: Paste images directly into the input box, drag webpage images or desktop images to Cerebr. • Markdown rendering support with LaTeX formula display. Extensively optimized for mathematical formula and chemical equation rendering, as I frequently need to understand various mathematical principles while reading papers. • Quick operations: Keyboard shortcuts to clear chat (Windows: Alt+X / Mac: Ctrl+X), up arrow key in input box to quickly complete with the latest question. • Supports streaming output. • Supports light and dark mode theme switching.

(2025-04-05) vishun: 极简，支持思考展示，好评。建议： 1、插件图片大点比较协调（脑子扩展到整个背景那么大）。 2、要是能方便的切换不同模型就好了，现在是每次都要去api设置中切换。 3、新增api设置时，经常没有自动保存，再次打开又展示默认的了，最好加个保存按钮。
