Google Photos Slideshow Styler adds a custom mat, frame, shadow, and background around your photos and videos while a slideshow is running, so viewing feels less like a browser tab and more like a real display.

Background
• Solid color, gradient, custom image URL, or a soft blurred version of the current photo

Frame
• Adjustable margin, mat width and color, frame width and color, and rounded corners

Shadow
• Full control over offset, blur, spread, color, and opacity for a realistic drop-shadow look

Ambient light
• An optional Ambilight/Govee-style glow that samples the colors from a photo's edges and casts them behind the frame, drifting and pulsing gently as slides change

Presets
• Start from a few built-in looks, or save your own settings as a named preset for one-click switching

HOW IT WORKS

Open a photo in Google Photos, choose the menu (⋮) → Slideshow, and your styling is applied automatically for as long as the slideshow runs — it's removed the moment you exit. Click the toolbar icon anytime to tweak settings; changes apply live, no reload needed.

PRIVACY

This extension only runs on photos.google.com, stores your settings locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local), and doesn't collect, transmit, or share any data. It doesn't require a Google account connection beyond the page you're already viewing.
