Manhwave is an AI manga translator, manhwa translator and webtoon translator for Chrome. Read manga, manhwa, manhua and webtoons in your language — right on the page where you read them.
Translate English scans of manga, manhwa and webtoons, raw Japanese manga, raw Korean manhwa and raw Chinese manhua into 26 languages. Manhwave recognizes the text in speech bubbles on your device, translates it and places the translation over the original with a clean bubble background. No personal AI API key or setup needed.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open a chapter on your favourite reading site (Long strip / vertical scrolling works best).
2. Click the Manhwave icon and choose "Translate this chapter".
3. Keep reading — the pages you are looking at are translated first, and a small panel in the corner shows the progress.

PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS
Manhwave does not ask for access to all websites. It runs on the tab where you click Translate, and you can optionally let it always run on a site you choose. Text recognition and image cleanup run locally; only the recognized text is sent to our service and our AI provider for translation (no images, no page addresses). See our privacy policy for details.
WHAT TO EXPECT
On first use, models for high-quality background cleanup download in the background. Translation works right away, and cleanup quality improves once the models are ready. Results vary with the website, artwork and layout; translations may contain errors. The extension interface is available in English and Polish; you choose the translation language separately. Raw Japanese pages are supported once the first-run models have downloaded (horizontal and vertical text); very dense vertical text and small furigana may be read less accurately. Raw Korean pages are supported too: when a chapter looks Korean, Manhwave downloads a small Korean reader (13.5 MB) once — automatically on Korean sites, otherwise after asking you — and the first few pages read before it is ready may stay less accurate.
