Accurate, fully customizable citations for debate and academic research from any webpage or PDF in one click.
Built for debate and academic research, CardCite pulls accurate citations from any webpage or PDF in one click.
On any page, open CardCite from the puzzle piece icon at the top right of Chrome, or press Alt+C. CardCite automatically detects the details it needs, then formats them into a finished citation that's ready to copy and paste. Every field stays editable before you copy it.
Already have a citation format? Paste one of your citations and CardCite sets your format from it and applies it for every citation. You can check it and make changes before saving, or set up the format yourself field by field. You can also add your team name and the author's qualification, such as their post or credentials, which CardCite fills in when the page states one.
CardCite is highly accurate. It does not use AI to detect or create any part of a citation. Tested on thousands of websites and PDFs, it gets the publisher, date, author, and title right on the vast majority of pages, including ones where other citation tools get them wrong. You can read more about its accuracy and how it works at cardcitesource.com.
CardCite includes optional source descriptions for over 1,000 major news outlets, think tanks, journals, and government agencies, added automatically when the source is recognized. For any other source, you can save your own description once and CardCite will remember it.

- By far the best citation generator I've ever seen!! Over the last two years, I've tried several different citation generators for my copious amounts of debate research. Most are uncustomizable, inefficient, expensive, and have limited capabilities. CardCite has none of those problems! This extension will save you literal hours of tedious formatting, enabling you to prioritize the content without sacrificing accuracy or appearance!

- Last card citer you'll ever need. I've done speech and debate for 5 years and written over 50 lbs of briefs (yes, at this point that's the only correct measurement to use). This tool is by far the most accurate and reliable I have ever seen. I personally made on many years back, but it wasn't nearly as capable as this one. It even works on pdfs and web archive!!!! Crazy stuff here. This is the last online debate tool you will ever need.
