Hydrostat Water Unit Converter
Description from store

Hydrostat finds water quantities on the page you are reading and shows what they are in the units you actually use.

Reading a utility board packet in MGD but you think in cubic metres per day? An environmental impact report in acre-feet per year when your model wants litres per second? An international tender in m³/h? Click the Hydrostat icon, hit "Scan this page", and every water volume or flow rate is highlighted. Hover any figure to see the equivalents.

Recognises: million gallons per day (MGD), gallons per minute (gpm), gallons per day, cubic feet per second (cfs), cubic metres per second / hour / day / year, litres per second and per day, megalitres per day (ML/d), acre-feet, acre-feet per day and per year (AF/yr, TAF, MAF), US and Imperial gallons, million gallons (MG), litres, megalitres, gigalitres, cubic feet, cubic metres, cubic hectometres and cubic kilometres — written out or abbreviated, with thousands separators and "million" / "billion" multipliers.

Also includes a quick converter in the popup and a link to the full converter at hydrostat.net, where every factor is documented.

Accuracy: all conversions use the exact NIST SP 811 factors (1 US gallon = 3.785411784 L, 1 acre-foot = 1,233.48183754752 m³, 1 ft³ = 28.316846592 L, 365-day year), the same engine as hydrostat.net.

Privacy: the extension runs only when you click it, on the tab you are viewing. It does not read pages in the background, does not send page content or URLs anywhere, and makes no network requests unless you turn on the optional anonymous usage counter in Settings.
