SnapVeil — Capture & Annotate
Description from store

SnapVeil is a fast, privacy-first screenshot and annotation extension for Chrome, inspired by the familiar feel of the Windows Snipping Tool.
Press Ctrl+Shift+S to freeze the visible page, select the area you want, and open it directly in a lightweight editor without leaving the current tab.
With SnapVeil, you can capture part of a webpage, add annotations, blur or pixelate details, and use Redact when you need to completely cover sensitive information.
CAPTURE
- Start a capture with Ctrl+Shift+S or the extension button
- Freeze the current browser view before selecting
- Drag to select the exact region you need
- Move and resize the selection before confirming
- View the selected image dimensions
- Capture the full visible viewport when needed
ANNOTATE
Edit the captured image directly in Chrome using Pen, Arrow, Text, Rectangle, Ellipse, Highlighter, Blur, Pixelate, and Redact.
Undo and Redo are available while editing, and Reset restores the original capture.
PROTECT SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Blur or pixelate details you do not want to show clearly. For information that needs to be completely hidden, use the Redact tool to place an opaque cover over the selected area.
COPY OR DOWNLOAD
When you are finished, copy the edited screenshot directly to your clipboard or download it as a PNG.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUT
SnapVeil uses Ctrl+Shift+S instead of Win+Shift+S because Win+Shift+S is reserved by Windows. The shortcut keeps a similar capture workflow while working directly inside Chrome.
PRIVACY FIRST
Screenshot processing and editing happen locally in your browser.
SnapVeil does not use accounts, analytics, tracking, screenshot uploads, cloud storage, or external image-processing servers.
Your screenshots are not sent to SnapVeil or any third-party server. They only leave the browser when you choose to copy or download them.
SnapVeil is designed for people who want a simple way to capture, annotate, obscure, and export part of a webpage directly from Chrome.
