Automatically re-authenticates your Chrome profile when Google sign-in expires
Profile Auth Keeper silently monitors your Chrome profile's sign-in status and automatically re-authenticates you when your Google session expires.
**How it works**
Every 5 minutes, the extension checks whether your Chrome profile's OAuth2 token is still valid. If your session has expired, it opens the Google sign-in page, fills in your saved password, and submits the form — then closes the tab and notifies you once you're signed back in.
**Features**
- Fully automatic — no clicks required when your session expires
- Password stored locally in your browser, never transmitted anywhere
- Circuit breaker: pauses after 3 consecutive failures and alerts you to intervene
- Skips 2-factor authentication challenges (only handles password re-entry)
- Badge indicator shows re-authentication status at a glance
**Privacy**
Your password never leaves your device. The extension has no backend, no analytics, and no tracking. See the full privacy policy for details.
**Permissions used**
- Google account access (OAuth2) — to detect when your session has expired
- accounts.google.com — to automate password entry on the sign-in page
- Tabs — to open and close the sign-in page automatically
- Notifications — to alert you when sign-in succeeds or requires your attention
- Storage — to save your password and extension state locally
