Description from store

A simple extension to give you better control of how Chrome stores history.

1. Delete History Range
Set a number of days that history should be kept. If you set 0 (zero) then this setting is ignored and there is no limit. Any history older than the amount of days will be deleted when you launch the browser (or if the extension is reloaded).

2. History Cap
Set a maximum number of history entries. Once the cap limit is reached, entries over the limit are automatically removed (from oldest). If you set 0 (zero) then this setting is ignored and there is no limit.
Disclaimer: Uses chrome.history.search API to get the entries. Though it is set to fetch entries from all time, it may not fetch entries from other synced devices, or if you have long periods between sessions then it may default to 24 hours. If you have entries over the cap limit, use the history range deletion (1) to keep old entries removed as desired.

3. History filter.
This will delete entries as they are visited from your history. Provided pre-sets include search engines, but you can add your own custom terms in as well. Any URL you visit matching the added term is automatically removed. This is useful for not storing clutter - such as if you make a lot of searches, but you need to look through the actual links you visit, not a list of queries you typed into your search engine. The terms are only deleted after you enable them, they will not look through your existing history and delete retroactive results.

No data is collected.
Permissions are granted to storage and history only.
The code is open source.
I would consider requests within reason - use the GitHub provided on the support link.
