CRLite – Safer, Smarter Browsing
Stay protected from unsafe websites through real-time certificate checks.
CRLite automatically verifies every site’s TLS/SSL certificate to detect expired, revoked, or untrusted certificates. If something’s wrong, it blocks the page and explains why — keeping you safe from phishing, MITM, and misconfigured sites. When everything’s fine, you’ll never notice it’s there.
KEY FEATURES
• Blocks Unsafe Pages
Stops sites with expired, revoked (OCSP-checked), or untrusted certificates.
• Clear Explanations
Displays an easy-to-understand block page showing the domain and reason.
• Quick Status Overview
The popup shows the last-checked site, status badge, and certificate details (issuer, validity dates, etc.).
• Customizable Validation
Use the built-in validation service or your own self-hosted one. Toggle revocation checks as you prefer.
HOW IT WORKS
When you open a webpage, CRLite validates its SSL certificate through a lightweight verification service. It checks:
• Certificate expiry
• Revocation status (OCSP)
• Basic trust validity
If an issue is found, CRLite blocks the page and shows the reason. Otherwise, it lets you browse normally.
WHY USE CRLite

• Gives clear, minimal feedback without intrusive alerts
• Lets you control your own validation source and settings
