HOW IT WORKS
The Great Filter is a mental health and content filter for social media. It sits between you and your feed, using Claude AI to evaluate each post before it reaches you. Posts matching your settings are quietly replaced with a transparent placeholder showing what was removed and why. Every filtered post can be revealed with a single click — nothing is permanently hidden from you.
Over time, our hope is that your algorithms will slowly learn to bring you peace, and help free you from the anxiety and doomscrolling spirals that social media can promote.

OPEN — Only explicit violence, targeted harassment, and obvious financial scams are removed. Everything else comes through.
CURATED — Outrage farming, psychological manipulation, coordinated harassment, and financial scams are filtered. Real news, opinions, and debate come through clearly.
QUIET — Aggressive filtering for the days when you need peace. Grief, conflict, anger, distressing content, and all manipulation filtered out.

Your report lives on your device. We never see it.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Post text is sent to our server for evaluation and immediately discarded. We never log what you read, store filter decisions, or build profiles of your browsing behavior. Your Transparency Report lives exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us.
The only information we store: your email address, your subscription status, and a monthly evaluation count.
