Reverbo

Reverbo makes the video you just watched feel like something you watched with a
friend — then chats about it with you, using the very YouTube or Netflix video as
material. That conversation naturally leads to speaking (output).

■ Chat mode
An AI coach chats about the video you just watched, like a friend ("what'd you
think of that scene?"). Tuned to your level (beginner/intermediate/advanced), it
asks easy questions, offers sentence starters, and gently corrects — designed to
get hesitant learners actually talking.

■ Choose the coach's personality
Set the coach as a "Friend" (casual chat), a "Teacher" (a light lesson from the
video), or a "Custom" personality you write yourself. Switch right from the side panel.

■ Shadowing mode
Replays the lines you loved, one sentence at a time. Captions often break
mid-sentence — Reverbo puts them back together the way they're spoken. Listen,
repeat, move on. Tap any line to jump the video there.

■ Sound and meaning
For scripts you can't read yet, each line can carry its pronunciation written in
your own alphabet, plus the meaning (e.g. 日本語 → "nihongo / Japanese"). Turn it
off when you don't need it. Available with a subscription or your own API key.

■ Multilingual
Set your native and target languages freely (Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese,
Spanish, French). Speech recognition and text-to-speech follow your target
language, and the extension UI follows your browser language.

■ Free to start, subscribe to go deeper
· Shadowing is always free — no account, no key.
· Sound and meaning come with a subscription or your own API key. Playback and
speaking along work without either.
· Use the coach free with your own Anthropic/OpenAI key. In this mode conversations
go straight from your browser to the provider — our server never receives your
chats or captions.
· Subscription ($4.99/mo) — skip the key with one-click Google sign-in. Most of
all, the coach remembers you across sessions, picking up your interests and the
phrases you keep tripping on — a friend who knows you. (A summary of your chats
is stored securely to power this.)

The Extension sends anonymous usage statistics so we can see where it breaks. No
conversations, no captions, no video titles, and no account or device is identified.
