Phone Number Click-To-Call
Extension Actions
- Live on Store
Finds phone numbers on webpages and turns them into clickable tel: links to trigger FaceTime or phone apps.
Phone Number Click-To-Call makes dialing from the web effortless. The extension scans each page you visit, detects phone numbers in common international formats, and turns them into clickable tel: links. One tap launches FaceTime or whichever calling app you have set as the macOS default, saving you from copy/paste gymnastics.
Key features:
• Detects phone numbers that appear in text, tables, or dynamically loaded content.
• Adds tel: hyperlinks without disturbing existing links, forms, or editable fields.
• Recognizes optional extensions (ext/x) and passes them along to the tel: handler when supported.
• Automatically processes new content as it appears via MutationObserver.
How it works:
The content script walks the DOM, finds text nodes that contain phone-like patterns, and replaces each match with an anchor element. The resulting tel: links will trigger the system handler (FaceTime on macOS by default) so you can dial instantly.
Privacy promise:
All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Tips:
• If you update the extension, remember to refresh any open tabs so the new content script runs.
• You can temporarily disable linkifying on a page by toggling the extension via the Chrome toolbar menu.
