• (2023-09-30) Carl Conquilla: This used to work really well for years, and then it stopped working. I realised it was because of the beta version where they switched to a web-based interface. So I uninstalled that and went back to the old version and it all worked great again. But now, they forced the web version onto everyone, and now I can't even log in anymore. I get to the PIN input stage and then I am stuck in "Connecting..." for hours. It does not work any more, and they forced everyone to move over to the not working version. I had over 13 computers running from this and now it doesn't work at all. How disappointing. I waited a number of months before making this review to see if they would fix it and they haven't.
• (2023-09-28) Luke Tarog: Worked fine for a few days then lagged a lot after a while. PC's fine, cpu less than 50% and ram at around 50-60% which was the same when I first used it. Nothing actually changed and it simply started lagging a lot on the app on my phone. Tried reinstalling the extension now to see if there will be any improvement.

• (2023-09-05) Ilia: Works very well and completely trouble-free. The only thing I dislike about it is, that the security implementation is very poor. The login is always a numbers-only password, which is relatively easy to crack, so this exposes your system's security and that is not good. I am even surprised, that Google didn't make more effort to harden the security, given the fact their email - GMail is very well protected. If Google improves the security of this extension, it will be invaluable. I hope they will do it. For the moment I don't use it, as I have security concerns running it, the way it is now (weak protection).

NEVER HAD ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE MONITORS as well, there's a arrow with settings (middle right) where you can display all or particular screen. I wish there was an automatic OS keyboard detection cuz sometimes I use my mac to connect to a PC on Windows so smth like (cmd+c will be ctrl+c, not windows button)
• (2023-08-27) Jose Vazquez: Muy rapido en conectar, muy sencillo de instalar ya que se usa para controlar un equipo remotamente y muchas personas no saben muy bien como instalar programas en sus equipos y esta esta muy bienhasta aqui. Lo malo y bastante malo es que la extencion no funciona del todo bien, simplemente te conectas al equipo y al instante o a los pocos minutos deja de funcionar.

• (2023-08-01) Piotr Włodarczyk: The app has been generally good - it's easy to set up and use, however in my time with it I experienced issues when trying to interact with some areas of Windows, and things haven only gotten worse when I updated to Win11. For example, I couldn't dismiss the notifications covering the system tray. Certain windows/apps were not clickable and were stuck on the desktop, preventing me from interacting with other apps. I couldn't find a way to fix this so have finally decided to move on. It just got really annoying and my other app of choice doesn't have this issue.

• (2023-07-28) Diablo: I used to love Chrome remote desktop but ever since they changed it to the new extension it is now useless. Need to zoom in to see ANYTHING? Too bad. Want to copy or paste? Too bad. Want to do ANYTHING you were easily able to do before. TOO BAD! I have tried to use the new CRD and hoped that it would get better and the devs would work on making it useable but I have given up hope on this POS and am moving on to another RD app. Thanks Google for taking yet one more thing that actually worked and turning it into a burning dumpster fire.
• (2023-07-26) Nik Nik: Использовал в линукс долгое время, пока не столкнулся с одной очень странной проблемой - если в Ubuntu установлен Chrome Remote Desktop, то перестает нормально работать автомонтирование внешних накопителей, даже обычную USB-флешку не удается подключить - получаю сообщение, что нет прав для совершения данной операции. Причем Chrome Remote Desktop даже не нужно запускать - достаточно, что он просто установлен в системе и монтирование перестает работать. Удаление Chrome Remote Desktop моментально решает эту проблему, не нужно ни перезагружаться, ни даже перезапускать сессию. Как одно с другим связано я не знаю, это вопрос к разработчикам. В сети полно сообщений об этой проблеме, которая существует уже много лет и которую, похоже, даже не пытаются исправить.

Wasted 30 minutes troubleshooting, trying to follow BS tech babble-babble about how it is the fault of power management, mysterious cryptic imbedded graphic drivers, vague graphics accelerator black magic blah blah blah blah blah blah - look at how smart we are. Let me clarify in plain English: Developers: you are not smart, this is just pure garbage junk-ware. This in 2023, not 2003 - if you can't figure out how to develop remote desktop software - something other developers have been doing for 2 decades, the problem is your incompetence, not the "issues" that somehow are not issues for any other developers.
