• (2023-10-30) Aaron N. Brock: It is currently non-functional for me. The extension is installed & I've signed in, but it doesn't inject the HTML on people fb pages. When using the keyboard shortcut, the sidebar pops up but then hangs indefinitely.

The merge feature is sensible, as is the incremental approach to cleaning up the data you import.

I love the integration with my gmail account and the automatic keep in touch reminders are a game changer. This couldn't be easier to use. • (2022-12-05) Mark Cummins: I've been looking for something like Dex for a long time. It's still a little rough around the edges, but it does exactly what I need, and overall I'm very happy with it. I paid for Pro almost immediately.
• (2022-11-24) Shawn Squire: Been using Dex for only a bit over a month, and it's already saved my butt a couple times! I tried a few of these services, and this is the best onboarding experience of them. It took maybe half an hour to get all my phone contacts, Google contacts, and LinkedIn contacts synced. It quickly picked up on my emails and calendar invites with people. The method to set up contact reminder frequencies was blazingly and incredibly quick, and actually a little fun. It is easy to fix mistakes and clean/merge records. It did everything I needed and then a little bit more. It really came in handy when a reminder came up and I realized I had left an old colleague hanging on lunch plans! I'm going to continue to use Dex, because the syncing + management + reminder system is flawless and what I need to be a little more on-the-ball with keeping up relationships. Developments also seem to come in regularly (at least monthly!) so I can look forward to some good new features in the future!

• (2021-04-15) Samuel Jackson: Rating for the extension specifically -- Note you need to be using Dex (Premium) to properly take advantage. Does a smooth job of two main missions: * Helps import data from websites that want to hide your social graph from you * Allow you to engage with Dex / bring in more data to Dex as you use common web apps The first is very valuable -- LinkedIn and Facebook don't really want you to export your data, this helps. Once you've done your import, the second is valuable -- you're browsing LinkedIn, want to add someone to Dex to set a reminder to catch coffee, etc., and it makes that pretty easy to do. I'd like Dex itself to get smarter -- today it shines as a central contact manager, but can do more to be a smart relationship assistant -- but this is a well made extension that I'm sure they'll continue to extend. Team was responsive and I know working to keep adding features.

I've tested many of the competitors out there but none of them had the functionality that I needed or were at a state that was usable so I had to create my own CRM to track my contacts. The moment I got on the Dex platform, I knew they were ready for primetime. Kevin cares deeply for the user experience and is constantly learning about how Dex can be better - the current suite of features should be sufficient for most users, and I'm looking forward to seeing this evolve further. The extension works with gmail, superhuman, twitter, linkedin, facebook, and instagram and allows you to track your contacts and interactions from those platforms.

• (2020-07-08) Jamal Nichols: Really great product with lots of potential. San Francisco-based and YC funded, so the standards are high. For me, the LinkedIn import is giving some errors. But they are really early on in their company lifecycle so a few bugs are to be expected. I'm really excited about this product though, because I've been looking for something like this to help manage my personal relationships for years.
