All you have to do is installing this extension, an icon will appear at the top-left corner of the browser,
Click on that icon and whoosh the story will be downloaded, Oh and another thing the extension will rename the story to something readable ;)

Update 5 years later: Now anytime you refresh the page or click on anything a box pops up that says "the bug you reported to me via email has been fixed" over and over again. Seen it 20 times already today.

I haven't and I never will sent you an email, no one's gonna send you emails, this bug is beyond annoying. Fix it. And please, stop it with redirecting to your page "zework.com", no one's gonna log into that page. Because of that, I have to use another extension to download posts.

Only real problem is file renaming does not work, always names the file same, would be very nice if it was using a YEAR-MM-DD-File Number format. *Update: I had lowered the score because it wasn't working but it's up again. Seems to be working again, we have to jump an extra loop with copying story url, but it works. Please make it like it used to be if you can, still thanks for your effort and workaround though. *Another Update: Your app seriously overloads Instagram with excessive CPU and RAM use, please do something about it. I blocked it from instagram.com and it's now working. *And Another Update: App got broken even more now, it only downloads just the first slide of a batch of stories and file renaming went even more broken, now does not use the profile name but id instead, without spaces. tldr: pls fix this sht, it is good and useful but only when it works :P

- (2025-02-15) Carlos Rincón: UPDATE February 2025: I doesn't download video stories anymore, it must be due to changes in the Facebook/Instagram API. Please fix this ASAP. Works in most instances. Quick and easy operation. Needs some improvements, however. For instance: Sometimes it downloads comment animations from the previous page instead of the story itself, and it won't download stories from some Facebook Pages. Very good extension overall. Highly recommended.
