Description from store Google Maps Tile Inspector allows web developers to quickly and easily identify map tiles in a Google Maps JavaScript API V3 map viewer by displaying a tile grid with Z/X/Y labels for each tile. Clicking an individual tile in the viewer sends the DOM element for the tile to the Chrome DevTools Console. You can activate this extension on any page with an embedded map by simply clicking the extension icon.

  • (2020-01-13, v:1.01) George C: Not seeing the tiles
    Interesting extension. But I see a grid appear for a moment, but nothing that persists or as per screenshot. You have some more information how to get this to work, or is there a known issue? Are the tiles defined, i.e what the size of each is, in dimension in pixels and also meters they cover on the map and also I assume they take into consideration the screen resolution or not?
