- (2025-06-26) bdesai: Immediately after this new update: Version 7.7.7 (released on June 23, 2025), keeps crashing my local app, doubles the memory footprint (from chrome task manager) and crashes with "Aw! Snap Out of memory" error. the memory footprint doubles only when the extension is available, without extension i.e. incognito mode, the app doesnt crash and the memory footprint of my app is half and works fine.
- (2025-06-13) Jon Holdsworth: Does not support Vue2 and therefore unfortunately is completely useless to my workplace.
- (2025-05-28) Haroro: Why does the new version no longer support keyboard shortcuts like arrow keys?
- (2025-05-08) Murat Düzgün: perfect
- (2025-05-03) Hamed Rajabpoor: when chrome updated , the dev tools is in small box in console and i can't use that , please fix the extenstion ASAP. King Regards
- (2025-04-22) Valerie Chapple: Love it. Worth it. Fixed a scrolling bug quickly. Thanks. If you don't have the fix yet, then you may need a chrome update/restart.
- (2025-04-22) Josh Wright: Quite often does not show up in the dev toolbar. What is happening to Vue? It used to be so solid
- (2025-04-17) Andrei Bespalov: Vue.js is detected on this page. Devtools inspection is not available because it's in production mode or explicitly disabled by the author.
- (2025-04-16) Artyom Rogov: There is a bug in version 7.7.2 - in the devtools page scroll is not working. It's very hard to debug an app without it
- (2025-04-06) Michele Bruno: some websites won't work if this extension is on, even if it was not a dev environment
- (2025-04-01) 吳泇佑(Avery): not support vue2, you should mention in intro
- (2025-03-06) Head Bang: "Vue.js is detected on this page. Devtools inspection is not available because it's in production mode or explicitly disabled by the author." Just wasted 3 hours to make it work. It must not be so hard to setup such tools!
- (2025-01-14) Alex R: Used to be great when I used it with Vue 2 a few years ago, but since updating for Vue 3 it's gradually gotten slower and worse to the point where it's now pretty much unusable, I can't even view state because devtools is in a constant state of refresh closing everything I open. Is there an alternative?
- (2024-12-16) Panagiotis Katrimoustakis: Sorry to say, but the flash on update functionality is now totally absent / broken? I will have to rollback to a previous version just for this.
- (2024-12-04) Dev Team: fantastic trash. rollback to legacy
- (2024-12-03) Ilyas Benhssine: Very Good idea and concept but lot of issues sync issues and laggy and bugs
- (2024-11-29) Jeremy Langevin: Experiencing issues with state on Vue 3 / Pinia. In particular with Mapbox GL JS
- (2024-11-22) Die Floppers VEVO: Experiencing issues with large state mutations on Vue 3 / Pinia. Our application will sometimes even crash locally.
- (2024-11-20) Jake Florentine: Great when it works on smaller apps, unusable for larger Vue 3 applications
- (2024-11-15) Alex Prokopenko: Component state is no longer working. Switched back to legacy devtools
- (2024-11-08) Barbara Lis: Unusable: large state mutations on Vue 3 / Pinia take minutes with this extension on, milliseconds off. This is even with __VUE_DEVTOOLS_NEXT_PLUGIN_SETTINGS__dev.esm.pinia__ = {"logStoreChanges":false}
- (2024-11-08) Cat Vu: Not support for Vue 2 from version 7. Also, its not possible to down version to 6
- (2024-11-06) Dhruv Patel: For Vue 2 use the below extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/vuejs-devtools/iaajmlceplecbljialhhkmedjlpdblhp
- (2024-11-05) Adam Nowak: Red on black is hard to read at times.. It is actively developed so maybe we will get some theme options for xmas..
- (2024-11-05) Paul Johnson #Nakba: Works like a charm with and devs were blazing fast in adding new keyboard shortcut (CTRL+S) for quick component selection.
- (2024-11-05) Hayko: [_____Vue DevTools v7 log_____] prepare.js:1 Vue DevTools v7 detected in your Vue2 project. v7 only supports Vue3 and will not work.
- (2024-11-04) Donovan Trinh: The "state" component section does not update when I select a component, or take several minutes to update itself. I lost the keyboard shortcut to select a component from clicking on it. Yes the new UI is cool but I lost the main features I was using from the Devtools. Sad that I have to manually downgrade to a legacy version, because it automatically upgraded to a broken newer version...
- (2024-11-01) Rien de jong: No longer able to copy anything without having to copy value or copy path, design went backwards and hurts the eyes with its new colors
- (2024-11-01) Lanter Tenado: why my dev-tool version be updated ?
- (2024-10-31) Nathaniel Nasarow: The dev tools no longer highlight components in the browser window when checking them in the dev tools. Seems to be somewhat broken at this point.
- (2024-10-31) Stephen Suess: This new version is seriously broken. Some of my components, while showing on the left, do not show any of the values on the right pane. They are Vue 3, composition API, script setup, typescript components. I guess I will revert to an older version.
- (2024-10-30) G B: Seems to be broken, I can no longer get it to show when I inspect a Vue page, even old tricks like changing theme or reinstalling does not seem to get it to work.
- (2024-10-30) Muhammed Yikit: Why always say "Vue.js not detected". It's begin with new version "7.5.6"
- (2024-10-24) Mariyan Damyanov: The extension is unusable. Every time I open it, the whole browser freezes.
- (2024-10-14) Kamal Korney: recently on open the tool it cause memory leak and chrome freeze till crash
- (2024-10-11) Vincent Oveson: A recent update has clearly introduced a memory leak into Vue Devtools. No matter what vue app I am working on, the moment I open the "Vue" tab in developer tools, Chrome's memory consumption begins to climb exponentially until Chrome crashes. This used to work wonderfully, and was a very useful resource for debugging Vue apps. But it is completely unusable now.
- (2024-09-18) Erine Natnat: I added this extension https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/vue-force-dev/oohfffedbkbjnbpbbedapppafmlnccmb?hl=en to force this to work. It works like a charm
- (2024-09-18) Tony Richards: broken for Chrome. will be switching to Firefox (hell yeah?) for development lol
- (2024-09-11) Sashki Sashka: Pointer-events : none; and no updates according to project ...something like that with this extension now((( use Pinia
- (2024-09-10) Mahamed Mustafa: not working show as disable, developer mode not shows the option, even after enable url allow
- (2024-09-10) Josiah Sprague: Doesn't do anything. I guess the reviews from yesterday saying it stopped working are accurate.
- (2024-09-09) Ash: Stopped working
- (2024-09-09) Dariko Karpova: Suddenly stopped working in Chrome this morning. Works in Firefox though
- (2024-09-03) Enar Mustonen: Constantly freezes up and won't load plugins e.g., pinia
- (2024-09-01) Josh Strange: When this works it's like magic but more often than not it just freezes up or won't load plugins correctly. I've seen this across many vue versions, many vue devtools plugin versions, and many different projects. Either I'm somehow doing something wrong in all those projects (why isn't there an error/warning, etc?) or this plugin is buggy/unstable. I love Vue and having this be so unreliable is very frustrating.
- (2024-08-28) Stefan Rheeders: Did you change something??? This extension was always working perfectly. Now the devtools tab disappears, the component search doesn't work and when I click on the extenstion I get this message: Vue.js is detected on this page. Devtools inspection is not available because it's in production mode or explicitly disabled by the author.
- (2024-08-23) Nitesh Kumar Bhagat: Not able to locate Vuex mutation records tab
- (2024-08-15) Beatrix Ducz: Very hacky, Pinia dissappears, which makes it very difficult to work with stores.
- (2024-08-14) Zack Boman: Nothing but problems lately. Some components I can inspect just fine. When I select others, the green loading bar just spins and spins. Then I get errors about infinite loops in the js console and the extension will crash. Or it will crash the entire browser tab. But it's getting to the point where there are so many bugs that it's just not worth using the dev tools extension at all.
- (2024-08-14) Denis Krama: it worked well for a while, but lately its been causing chrome to freeze and crash. At first I thought it might be the project I'm working on, but recently created a new project, and it still happened, after a little use, and if i switch tabs, it causes chrome to freeze completely and i have to force quit.
