- (2023-02-24) Horizonseeker: Installed the Chrome extension "goormIDE" and it immediately shows a login button. I can not test the extention before. I have deleted the extension directly again looking for better one without login requirement.

- (2021-04-29) Wayne Meadows: I was an early adopter of cloud IDE's and until recently i was using Cloud9 among a few others none of them really allowed me to use it the way i wanted. I am using a chromebook for my day to day programming and research and my desktop at my house as my heavy development. goormIDE allows me to not only not have to upload everything to my web server each time running locally on my home server. I can save run and test in real time using my go to technologies PHP, JS, HTML5. I still use CentOS 7 for my actual hosting but this is the best IDE i have used to get everything out of the way before i actually upload to test on my main environment.

My laptop doesn't have good specs, so it's really hard and time consuming to install other IDE. Goormide, however, can be developed using only a web connection, so I can use my computer more cleanly

- (2019-10-16) grandel nico: Good cloudIDE, there are some parts to be improved, but overall, very satisfying to use. This is good for those who needs an IDE to-go, and those who codes in multiple locations. And its free! (and their monthly plan is not really that expensive imo)

It delivers most of the functions that C9 offered, plus some more functions that developers will find favorable. The interface is also user-friendly, and you will soon get used to it. Overall, I find goormIDE to be very convenient to use. Kudos to goorm for making a cloud based IDE!
