- (2024-02-06) Manolo: UPDATED: 14 January 2024: I like its simple control panel, and ability to start reading any paragraph on a webpage with just a single click of the mouse. However, at times the pause/play button doesn't respond well, and it sometimes skips reading some paragraphs, or even stops reading midway. Though paragraph highligting is available, highlighting of words being read would be of great help. The extension also lacks an "Options/Settings" that provides, for example, a choice to change the colour for text highlighting from the current glaring bright yellow. Furthermore, unlike most other text-to-speech extensions, there is no option to read selected text via right click context menu. This extension hasn't been updated since 2021. I hope the developers of this extension will continue to improve it, and not abandon it.
- (2023-10-29) Ross Walenciak: Pretty good, but I wish the max speed was faster. I don't know how fast it is(and I'd like that information on the pop-up as well), but the max speed is still a bit slow. Also, for some reason I have to click or press the space bar twice to pause.
- (2023-02-15) Chris Vydas: Simple, lightweight, but only works sometimes. It's skips paragraphs with no way to intervene and focus on text that was skipped over. Was using read aloud which was very good but recent updates made it buggy and unusable. I installed this and it works ok but has issues
- (2021-12-16) Karin: I click on the extension and nothing happens...nothing popped up. After trying several times i tried other pages then worked. There are other apps that give you more options of English voices and features.

This application lets me listen to the articles on the train like a podcast. The best part is it doesn't sound like an robot, and gives me the option to change the settings of the voice.

i would like the tts to read a bit slower, however when i go to the settings to toggle the speed (or any other feature for that matter) in the free section, it does not lock and i am unable to fully enjoy this software... i've tried several times to adjust these settings and i'm not sure if this is just a limited setting or if im just going about this incorrectly... please get back to me if you can on this issue, your help would be greatly appreciated.
