• (2020-02-18) Let's Talk Careers with Sara Yusupov: it showed all my friends are inactive only 20 active. So when I wanted to remove the ones that are not active, there was no option. It can't be all 4K friends not active. So I had to click each friends name and check their timeline for their activity. Some were active. But were listed in the inactive section. So not sure how this works. The site is not accurate.

I used to have an increasing amount of friends as a bunch of people was adding me on a regular basis, and I was afraid to hit the 5,000 limit, because when that happened I'd have to start unfriending people 1 by 1 and deciding who to unfriend. This extension has made it SO EASY to decide based on recent engagement, and it does all the unfriending on automatic, I can just sit back, relax, and see how my friend list gets cleared. FriendFilter is great for weeding out inactive people, some of whom had actually died. I found it useful to do an initial engagement scan going back 6 months, and to scan for more than the recommended number of activities, shares, and comments. Do activities include private messages? If not, I wish they did. I also wish it was possible to unfriend more than 500 people at a shot. Having carefully reviewed my inactive friends and whitelisted many, I'd like to be able to unfriend the rest in one fell swoop.

It helped me to not only drive up my engagement by removing people that never engage but also showed me who I should be paying the most attention to since they're a huge supporter of mine. I was surprised when I only saw about 220 friends engage regularly, but as I have removed non-engaging friends it has improved. Also, I have focused on writing better content, because bad content just wont get engagement. That married with friend filter has been a game changer.

The software itself is a great tool, but the REAL value of this solution is the support and creative ideas on how to make it work for your business from the development team. I've watched some of the videos offered by the creator on how to use it, and have had a few chats with his team as well and based on that support alone I was able to jump my engagement by almost 30% in less than 2 weeks! For someone with 1000 Facebook contacts, to go from less than 100 people engaging on my posts to just over 400 was phenomenal! I'll be upgrading to the paid version shortly as I create my social media calendar for 2020!
• (2019-10-07) Ana Ramirez: I have done the scan twice and it says 3740 of my 3764 friends are inactive. This is not true. At first I tought maybe it was because I had other tabs open but I followed the instructions and ran the scan again and it said the same. This app does not work.
