- 2/5 - Inconsistent and Unreliable Tested on Chrome and Brave while setting up TikTok Pixel for Shopify. In Chrome, the extension detects events, but they often don’t appear in TikTok Events Manager. In Brave, it doesn’t work at all, even with Shields off. Pros: Quick way to check if the pixel is firing Detects standard events like page view and add to cart Cons: Shows events that never appear in TikTok Events Manager Doesn’t work in privacy-focused browsers No real troubleshooting or real-time debugging Final Verdict: A basic tool for verifying installation, but unreliable for tracking or troubleshooting. Check Events Manager instead.

- The extension previously interfered with how GTM is shown in the code (it appeared above <head> although the GTM-script was added inside of the <head> tags). Today I noticed it interfering with Google docs, making some settings greyed out and unavailable. As soon as I disabled this extension I was able to use Google docs normally.

- Unfortunately, the pixel is not read, and TikTok does not care about advertisers. The advertiser has started going to Meta, Snapchat, and X, because the company is updating its programs, and TikTok does not think about the advertiser.

- Extension is blocking Google Tag Manager from connecting to a website in preview mode. I've spent some time trying to identify the issue. Problem was fixed by disable tiktok pixel.

- It seems that now detects the events properly, and we can start trusting the messages provided on Tik Tok helper. The unique annoyng detail that I noticed is that helper capitalizes any string (parameters and values).
