Does anyone know of any alternative extension to cast to Roku? It was great for my boomer dad, but now I'm having the same problem as others have reported. I cannot verify when it stopped working. When I click on the extension, and then click the "cast" button, it begins loading on my Roku TV...To be exact...the TV pulls up a screen that says "Play on Roku" for about half a second. That screen closes then returns to the Roku Home screen.

Worked great until recently and now it won't cast to my Roku. Hopefully the developer will post an update, or an alternative will come along.

loved it until today when it stopped working, it attempts to cast the tv screen turns black then it just stops and dose not load the video

stooped working very nice all the time, but 2 weeks ago ther was a firmware upgrade to version 11.5.0.4235... so my opinion is, there was something changed that it stops working... hope ther is a possibility, to fix or change in the the code off rokukast ... there seems to be no other extension which could do same?? or anybody knows a alternative, . or need a mac, pad or iphone by airstream,

Used to work perfectly but has stopped working on recent attempts. The add-on still identifies the video content, but I get a loading error message on my Roku device when I try to cast.

It used to work great, but it's no longer connecting. I used to have to change IP address sometimes, but even with that, it doesn't work. I would love to change my review if it was fixed.

Just wanted to give people who use this app some help with YouTube-- while YouTube itself cannot be used with RokuKast, for some reason, you can cast any YouTube video through RokuKast if you use one of the frontends people have created for YouTube, like Invidious (look up "alternative-front-ends" for more). An absolutely brilliant tool that loads effortlessly, unlike the actual YouTube TV app.

Was great, but no longer works. I keep getting a message on my roku that says video cannot be played . And this is on any site that I want to stream from.

I've tried many different casting, mirroring type apps and while some worked, none of them worked well. This is by far the best one I've tried. The simple option of entering your RokuTV's ip address is so handy. My TV is on the wired network and my laptop is always wireless. Getting them to see each other can be an issue sometimes. But having the option to enter your TV's IP is huge. There seems to be a 30 sec buffer which is nice. Honestly the best Roku mirroring app around. I use it to cast my laptop video to my Roku smart TV.

I've bee using this to cast private videos from an online course I have and it works beautifully! It runs almost exactly as intended. It streams without issue, but there's only one very small drawback. In order for the extension to render the video I have to refresh the page for each video. It's not a huge deal but it is a small inconvenience. Also, it would have been nice to have a queue feature. Otherwise, it works exactly as you would expect. I'm so happy with the result that I rated this 5 stars instead of 4, which it is in it's current state, if you consider the lack of extra features, and the small issue I stated above. This is still a great casting extension for Roku. Thank you for the great product!!

Worked on first try, simple to use. Installed, manually saved router link to Roku and pressed cast icon. Hole process took about 2 minutes.

O app é bom mesmo. Só colocar o IP do aparelho Roku na extensão e pronto. É praticamente um chromecast sem restrições. Uma delícia!

The original version was called RokuCast, so this is just a replacement extension with a slightly different name. It uses a hidden channel on the Roku [I think CL9D5D] to stream HTML5 content from the Chrome browser on your computer. That is why some videos work and others don't - the source HAS to be a HTML5 video [hit and miss tactics]. This extension doesn't give a message that it couldn't connect, so minus 1 star.
