• (2019-03-20) Adam Yik: What a useful tool. I've seen many copyright-ism users so frustrated that they decided to “DRM” their page with javascript code. You know what else uses this? Tech support scam sites. Anonymous sites, often found through malvertising and intrusive ad redirects, (falsely) claiming your PC is infected by malware or hacked, and uses a myriad of ways to “lock” your browser (dubbed “browlock” by Malwarebytes), a code in the page to disable certain actions such as closing the browser and preventing the back button. I saw a code here: https://blog.malwarebytes.com/cybercrime/2018/09/partnerstroka-large-tech-support-scam-operation-features-latest-browser-locker/ And tested it via creating a txt file, rename the file test.html, and inserted the code: <body oncontextmenu="return false"> Testing 123 </body> and it seems to work, even with this addon running. So please add a detection if it sees such a HTML code so that I can right-click on it.

Sadly, this extension wasn't working. I'm not sure if this is all across the board, but I'm just leaving a note to say that it won't work on all sites. [edit] Updating to state that I visited another site that had the same issue, and it wasn't working on images. Personally, I think the site I'd visited stole the image, so seeing the disabled right click option was a bit funny to me. **There's no malware from this addon.** If you're seeing ads, make sure it's not the site you're visiting, because I personally run into some sites that sneakily make you click an ad if you left/right click anywhere on the site. It forces a new popup with some of those weird/clickbait ads.
