LATER EDIT found this for those complaining, it works: If you need to un-install, please, in this order, go to your Sync options in chrome and uncheck the following both fields: Applications AND Extensions. Then uninstall the extension. Then optionally if you want or need it, re-tick those options in Sync.

(2018-01-11) Fenrir Nox: I don't know how this got on my PC. One morning it was just there apparently. Can't remove it through conventional means. Highly suspicious to me.
(2018-01-11) Trev Craig: App seems to want to be in your chrome SO BAD that it automatically installs without any provocation. Uninstalling won't help as it comes right back after relaunch.
