DuckDuckGo New Tab

no dark mode!

This is an unofficial Extension which hasn't been updated in 2.5years -- unsurprisingly it's broken. The official DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials Extension includes search search from new tab functionality, is open source and regularly updated. This one is closed source and doesn't work.

Opens new tab as DuckDuckGo but the search box is not active. What a waste.

Used to work in Microsoft Edge, now just broken. 6 months on still broken and not fixed.

Our company (EveryoneChat) likes privacy. We suggest switching your search engine to DuckDuckGo. Google blocks searches from this extension. To switch to DuckDuckGo, go to chrome://settings/searchEngines or edge://settings/searchEngines and select "DuckDuckGo." We don't trust Google. Thank you very much!

When are they going to fix this so it works again ?

I use AVAST Secure Browser (bank mode) but it kept using Google Search, despite manually disabling Google search engine. This extension allowed me to use AVAST Search engine UPDATE: Two stars. Only works in address bar now, get a gray blank space in the main homepage that doesn't accept input..

Used to work great and I loved it. But now when I open a new tab it takes me to DuckDuckGo but the search bar in the page has error icon and I have to search from the address bar. Kind of defeats the purpose of the extension if you ask me. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

I have to fight with the Chrome browser extension every time I want to use it. I have a little icon showing but it has no color, I click on it it offers me few 2 options "options is grayed out" "remove from chrome" or "unpin." On the very bottom, I have manage extensions, offering Duck Duck Go's New Tab, and Essentials. I have tried both, all I get is the same gray icon, the chrome address bar, with the Duck Duck Go search bar in the center of what would be my web page, a small page icon with a sad face blocking me from putting anything in that address bar. Is there a DUCK Duck Go browser and not this stupid extension, google is blocking it?

Doesn`t work for me. The text field is grey and i can`t get the cursor into to write something into it.

3 stars because it stopped working! Worked great after I installed it and re-started chrome but then later in the day, it stopped working and brought up Google instead. Not sure if Google did something to disable it, since Chrome is a Google product. Maybe the developers can look into it.

i watch the ad and i trust it

Needs to use the browser theme and not just default to light/white theme.

Please add black theme or gray theme

i will use address bar to search in google and DuckDuckGo new tab to search in DuckDuckGo tnx
