- (2023-10-23) André Bagestan: É pago É péssimo
- (2023-07-28) Luke S: Very useful during the trial. However, it makes google docs extremely slow so I frequently turned it off.
- (2023-04-20) Fiction Plus: There is one tiny (?) issue that I experienced: the writer input box widget can get in the way of edits. You have to turn off the plugin until next time and sometimes the event recurs. What would be nice. is having a movable Loom-like widget for the webpage, so that it doesn't block the user intended experiences.
- (2023-04-02) Karam maso: it is the best so far, and it is completely free. The paid version is optional and provides some extra features.
- (2023-03-30) Maxime: Not free
- (2023-02-21) Meghan: Extension overall is OK, I like that you can pick which English you use. @Devs, do note that the extension is unstable, doesn't always work on different sites. eg. LinkedIn And recently I found that having Writer on with Buffer causes Buffer to not recognised items copy and pasted in.
- (2023-01-13) fx noob: Its not free
- (2022-11-02) Felix Edelman: Ive been using it for some time and is just great
- (2022-09-06) Dan Maverick: Best grammar checker in my honest opinion. The great thing about it is it's free, as long as you sign in. Which, you can just sign in with your google account. It's basically free. It also works in sidebars in Opera GX like in discord, spotify, etc. Highly recommend for people who just need a free grammar checker in their everyday life.
- (2022-07-03) Tony: So far it is the only one I've seen with a 30 day free trial. It feels just as good as all others. There may be some limited features compared to wordtune or another plugin.. But for the price this is the only plugin I would ever pay for. So far AMAZING - thank you writer.
- (2022-06-04) Jay Michaelson: It's great overall at helping with grammar related issues and spelling mistakes. I use it while proofreading content and it really has made the whole process much faster. The only issue i have with it is that when i use it in some websites, while typing, the page scrolls up consistently. I have disable different plugins and found that this issue only occurs when the Writer plugin is active.
- (2022-03-21) mega Zwatcher: piece of sh, broke chrome as soon as installed
- (2022-03-13) MD ARMAAN: This is Grammarly. Tell me 2 satisfying reasons why I should choose this over Grammarly.
- (2022-02-16) Lenny Rachitsky: I’m addicted
- (2022-02-14) Maria Badoles: I love the app because it's really useful. This app will help you correct your grammar and your spelling. Highly recommended!!
- (2022-02-14) tommosm: I love this, it works fine for me. One problem if you click on the word they suggest, if you make a mistake it doesn't always change it. Otherwise this is really a great help.
- (2022-02-14) Moe Saadeh - ilconsigliere: great tool, not less than Grammarly
- (2022-02-10) Ridhi Tariyal: Incredibly helpful. t’s the autocorrect on your phone but on your computer.
- (2022-02-10) Sarah Selim: Super cool extension, especially with autocorrect on! Catches all sorts of things that come up when I'm moving/typing quickly in Google Docs! Highly recommend.
- (2022-02-09) Stijn de Graaf: Great app - much slicker than Grammarly IMO. Especially like that I can tailor the suggestions to my own writing preferences (a blend of US English, UK English and scientific terms).
- (2022-02-09) Michelle Kim: As a marketer who's in daily communication with external partners, I can trust Writer to keep my language clean, concise, and brand-aligned throughout all my outreach efforts. Five stars!
- (2022-02-09) Augusta Conway: Incredible product offering. As some others noted in the comments it is far superior to Grammarly. They also have an incredible team!
- (2022-02-09) Amanda F: Super useful! Way better than grammarly which I used before. Writer seems to pick up on more errors.
- (2022-02-03) Dr. J. N. Phan: Great when it works, but it has some bugs while you're writing.
- (2022-01-29) mario mendoza: It's nice to use. It helps me more accurately to write and make perfect sentence structure and gives the words of choice to understand with the reader clearly what I'm trying to in on the text.
- (2022-01-20) Mark Josephson: This is a better tool than Grammarly. My kids use grammarly for school, but I use Writer for my business communications. Definitely worth the subscription as I need to write well for work and Writer helps me do that.
- (2022-01-20) James Prather: Writer's app is superior to Grammarly in a number of categories. I use both as an editor because the only thing Writer lacks is Queen's English spellcheck. With Writer, you get punctuation suggestions that Grammarly misses. From common commas, semi-colons, to sentences that end without any punctuations. Writer app also picks up on missing capitalizations that for some reason Grammarly never notices. Sometimes these capitalizations aren't necessary, like after every colon or in some headings. Lastly, I appreciate Writer's attempt to correct non-inclusive language. While I'm sure this doesn't matter to most, it will soon become the writing standard to avoid alienating a large swath of readers who grow tired of ableist, ageist, or binary qualifiers.
- (2022-01-20) Jamie Barnett: As a frequent writer, I cannot say enough positive things about Writer! It helps me not only correct grammar and spelling mistakes, but also keep my writing crisp, clear, and error-free. I also love the fun, colorful reminders and the ability to track my own improvements. I also recommend this product for business writers, like those in marketing, content, and editorial because it keeps people on voice and on brand.
- (2022-01-20) Yasmin Sachee: So many fixes and great suggestions. Highly recommend
- (2022-01-18) Kaleigh Wilson: it's the worst ugh I hate it it's not worth it
- (2022-01-11) Padmakshi Dutta: Gives a lot of incorrect suggestions
- (2021-12-06) Елизавета Оленцевич: very good :)
- (2021-11-26) alex: VERY GOOD
- (2021-11-19) xXJoannaXx: This comment is for those who dislike this chrome extension. Personally, I think it's okay and works okay. If you enjoy it, great! Keep on using it then. If you don't like it, there's another chrome extension called Grammarly. There is no free trial and basically works the same as this one. But keep in mind if there are any errors you can report it and give feedback as it is in beta testing.
- (2021-10-29) Curtis Kwan: The customer service here was AMAZING! If you have any problems they can solve it!
- (2021-10-22) ChosenFate: It tells you "get the extension for even more suggestions on this text". Turns out, you get a lot less suggestions with the extension, and I always have to paste it into the website to actually fully "fix" my texts. That makes the extension a lie and almost useless
- (2021-09-20) Rina: It helped me on my work
- (2021-09-14) Kur La: How can i cancel my subscription?
- (2021-09-09) Jimmy Wilson: This app caused my development team a few hours diagnosing problems a client of ours was having when loading our website. We were able to limit the issue to this chrome extension. The injected CSS from this app is breaking our CSS styles, specifically massive flexbox bugs. Idk how the writing functionality works, but be aware this app will cause web pages to look broken.
- (2021-09-02) Việt Trung: I think it is good if you have app for window and office (2013, 2016, 2019)
- (2021-06-27) Gayatri Kumari: Amazing Plugin
- (2021-06-09) Connie Ekenwa: This is a great writing resource. I strongly recommend it to anyone wishing to write well:)
- (2021-05-12) dr.srinivas T: It was magnificent but idk if u all r having this problem, but every time i close google and shut my laptop down or if I reopen google, this extension requires me to sign in again. I mean, yes, it is only a few clicks, but still it would be nice if I was permanently signed in. I would appreciate it if someone helped me with this problem. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Does it have something to do with "keep me signed in" or something?
- (2021-05-03) Zephan Wu: ok it was good but the editor has a BIG bug
- (2021-03-03) Clyde Official: This really helped me in school
- (2021-02-19) Myroslav: Awesome plugin, love it. I didn't found where to report bug. Please test plugin with notion.so
- (2020-04-05) Victor Jackson: Everything is awesome but i was wondering is there a way for it to work on google docs or it hasn't supported it, if so then tell me how to
- (2020-03-18) Tim Jewell: I switched to Qordoba from Grammarly because the latter was giving me incorrect grammatical tips, and I've so far been really pleased not only with the accuracy of Qordoba's editing platform but also for its tools to create your own built-in style guide that can give you live recommendations as you type as to what's wrong. I also love that it includes tools for inclusive language and legal compliance - those are enormous factors that can greatly impact your business with just a few words. The only recommendation I would make for Qordoba is to make the user interface a little simpler; creating a new grammar rule or style rule can be difficult without guidance from a Qordoba user or expert who's already done it, and this makes it hard to learn the tool and onboard others who need to use the tool. I give Qordoba a 7.5/10 - their platform is useful and has a lot of potential, but there are still a lot of kinks to work out.
- (2020-01-09) Muayad Sayed Ali: Amazing it fixes everything. its awsome
- (2019-12-11) Ana Rodrigues: Worked great across Gmail, Confluence and LinkedIn, which is where I wanted it.
