• (2023-09-27) Λ H S Ξ N: Functions exactly as described. Amazing how consistently this works on everything! One minor complaint: On sites where the download is initiated on the website and not with a redirect, downloads stop working so the extension has to be disabled. Not the fault of the extension though, it functions perfectly :D. Wish I'd found this 4 years ago.

Thank you so much. Now I understand the root issue is that each link sets its content-disposition and thanks to this extension the power is now back in the users control to decide! This is an absolute life saver.
• (2022-06-18) Michael B: For files that can't be viewed (like zip files), it butchers the file name. Just tested, same file, with this extension enabled and disabled, and this was the culprit. It's nice when it works, but definitely not worth dealing with that.

• (2020-01-02) Gian Paolo Baldazzi: Perfect, does what it says. Can remove the "content-disposition" header allowing (e.g) to show pdf files in chrome instead of being forced to download them. Can be easily toggled on and off with a click on its button.

  Hi, I'm trying to use your extension on https://travellermap.com/make/poster and I cannot get it to work. That website has the following header on their "Render Poster" button: "content-disposition: attachment;filename="User_Data.png" With Undisposition installed, it *still* tries forcing me to download a file named User_Data.png when entering custom data (the file name is different if using pre-made data). You can test this on your own by changing the "select" dropdown and picking any of the options, and then click on "render poster." It doesn't matter if you select it to be a png or a pdf. It always downloads.

  After adding the undisposition extension I got the undisposition toogle wich results in 2 options, when downloading html files from nextcloud. 1. Open html in new tab (as expexted) 2. Show content of a "downloaded" html file as txt No save file option any more (not expexted) When doing the same with pdf files everything works as expeccted.

  Hi! Loving the extension so far. I have noticed that when I actually choose to download a file the file name is a long combination of letters and numbers, not representative of the file's actual name. Is there a workaround for this? It's a bit inconvenient for my computer's file organization.
