- (2023-05-27) I just got my Vidami today and it was super easy to set up. I played a video on youtube and used the back and forward buttons with no problem. I used the looper and was very excited that this would really help me learn (I'm a perpetual beginner). Looping works great, EXCEPT that when you switch to a new video it retains the loop from the last one. For example, if you start a loop at 2:03 of a video and loop for 20 seconds, when you go to another video it starts at 2:03 and loops for 20 seconds. After the first couple of times this happened, I said, oh I didn't exit out of the loop, so tried it again. Same problem. I tried multiple videos and it always started at 2:03 and looped after 20 seconds. Even when I unplugged the pedal, same thing. Finally, I just exited out of youtube and started over. That did the trick. But it is annoying to have to exit and restart before switching to a new loop or new song. Anyway, I still think it will be great for learning but this glitch needs to be fixed.
- (2023-05-06) Michael Gonzales: I followed the instruction and I cannot connect the Vidani blue to my computer. The instructions to connect does not work and there is no support to help the customer to connect.
- (2023-04-28) Karl Jackson: The Vidami video controller has been a powerful tool, in making it easier to learn difficult sections of online lessons. It has really accelerated my ability to learn new songs using Youtube!
- (2023-01-24) William Hallworth: Brilliant piece of kit! I specifically bought it to use on YouTube, and found it work exactly as advertised. The looping and slowing facilities are groundbreakingly useful, and my musical progress has been enhanced to a great degree. Who would have thought that such a device could be so useful. Incredible! I thoroughly recommend it to anybody struggling to interpret and learn content on YouTube.
- (2022-08-22) Troy Bettis: Heard about the Vidami Blue pedal from the Andy Wood Woodshed podcast and I have to say it is one of the most amazing learning tools I have ever used. It's simple to setup and makes learning so much easier. The looping functionality and the play/pause are HUGE helps when trying to break apart super fast lead guitar lines. The speed control is extremely helpful for those super shreddy licks at the speed of light as well. The hardware is top notch and the plugin works perfectly. Couldn't recommend this more to anyone learning an instrument that uses multiple media outlets to learn.
- (2022-07-11) Mitch Gilbert: My YouTube/internet jazz guitar teacher, Jens Larsen, highly recommended Vidami Blue for use when learning from You Tube videos. It also is functional with many websites, including his Jazz Guitar Roadmap course. Vidami Blue is the first product recommendation that I have heard him give, so I figured it must be good and ordered it the evening that I learned about it. It arrived a couple days later. I have been absolutely satisfied with Vidami Blue for both Chrome on my desktop and Safari on my IPad. I had trouble with my desktop synching set-up, but a prompt reply from Vidami Support reminded me to make sure that I access the websites using Chrome, not Microsoft Edge. The foot pedal control of videos is incredibly more efficient than keyboarding while playing my guitar. The Start and Pause functions alone are freeing, but the Back, Forward, Speed and Loop functions make the pedal most powerful. Vidami Blue has become my most useful pedal, at least in my practice room. Mitch
- (2022-05-06) RON F: I have the original version of the pedal and it seems to be intermittently functioning. My computer has to constantly rebooted to have all the foot switches function properly. It last a few hours between reboots. It is somewhat disappointing
- (2022-05-05) Ed Goswick: I never thought a piece of gear could be so totally useful. Not only do I use it for lessons on Active Melody and Truefire, but any tunes I find on Youtube. Loop it and slow it down; been waiting for this all my music playing life!
- (2022-03-03) Jack Carroll: What amazes me is that after months of using the Vidami via the Chrome extension the hardware and the software STILL WORK - that's the exception to the rule with most of the electronic "junk" sold today.
- (2022-02-21) Greg Witt: If you have a Vidami Pedal, you need this extension - works beautifully with TrueFire, BrettPapa, Udemy, and the UseTubes. I can't imagine practicing without this combination! Works impeccably. ...now if they only had the extension for the most widely used portable operating system in the known galaxy, that would be great...
- (2022-02-19) Joseph Porto: I was fortunate to receive the Vidami Blue video looper pedal when it first came available. With the Chrome Extension, the device works flawlessly. I'm a guitar player and I've been using it to master some of my favorite guitar solos on YouTube. I am just blown away with how easy it is to use. I loop a few bars at a time at a slow speed to become proficient at each section. It is so helpful to watch how the performer fingers the notes in challenging sections. I then practice the piece in longer loops at higher speeds until I am comfortable in playing the whole piece on my own. Vidami Blue has really helped me increase my musical vocabulary. This is a great tool. I highly recommend it.
- (2022-02-18) Frank Vincent: I didn't realize how much I could use this Vidami until I got one a couple of months ago. Now I use it for almost all of my practice. My most favorite are the looper and the play/pause buttons. I do use the speed adjustment occasionally but I have online lessons that are usually slow enough for me to get. Doing these actions with my feet is way better than trying to do them by taking my hands off the guitar and grabbing the mouse. Such a simple idea and so easy to use! The company is very responsive to suggestions too. I recommend it to anyone using online lessons.
- (2021-10-07) Mike Knarr: Works great! Be sure to restart computer after installing for all functions to work. I recommend a skip ad button on V2!
- (2021-07-20) Jeff Nance: Works flawlessly. What a valuable tool for fast learning!
- (2020-04-13) Bill H: I am a guitar player who spends a lot of time learning technique and tunes from Youtube. Took delivery of my Vidami pedal today. I installed the Chrome extension on two computers. So far, the combination of the pedal and extension is working flawlessly, just as advertised. It just makes everything so much more convenient! Well done, Utility Design. By the way, it also works with Vimeo and Martymusic. Looking forward to discovering other compatible sites.
