Change Log
Version 3.0.1
Please note to use this extension features, you HAVE to click on the extension icon to activate the "auto text expander" feature on the website you are on. This is to prevent our script from running automatically on all websites you visit.
This protects your privacy and ensures your browsing history/keyboard typing history etc is NOT sent to external third party websites. Other competitor text expander software scripts "run on all websites" and you have to trust them to ensure they are not sending this information back to their servers etc. For our extension, it is impossible for us to track your keystrokes because the software only works when you click on the extension icon.
Version 3.0.3 Change
Made a bug fix where a warning message showed up after we updated to manifest version 3.
To add text expander text - please right click on the extension icon and choose options. You can add as many text shortcuts as you want inside the options page of this extension.
Version 3.0.4 Change
Due to popular demand to make this software more user friendly, we've added the permission "Works on all websites". You do NOT need to click on the extension icon for the auto text expander feature to work on every webpage you browse. Please note our software does NOT store/capture any of your website visits etc and the only reason we ask for the "runs on all websites" permissions is because we had a lot of users email us asking for a easier version where they did not have to click on the extension icon to use the auto text expansion feature.
Version 3.0.6
Fixed a bug for duplicate copying on some websites
Add export/import feature via json files for exporting/importing your own text shortcuts
Add %clip% command in auto text so that you can automatically paste text you have from the clipboard. Please note due to the new %clip% feature, our extension will require the clipboard permission. None of the text you copy & paste etc is ever sent to our servers, the data is all processed directly on your own computer when you use the %clip% feature.
Localization for options page to be multi-language
:heavy_check_mark: You can add in your own custom phrases/text you want to expand.
:heavy_check_mark: 100% Free Software
:heavy_check_mark: Simple and Easy to Use

Though the desired output appears after typing the shortcut, it does not stay there. I mean, after I typed no, I saw <noise>, and then it was showing no. Please tell me what should I do so that I get the desired output to stay there. The stars are just for drawing attention. Ignore it currently.

- (2025-03-15) chronomad: A great tool, works on everything I use. It's free, simple to use, not feature bloated. I wish the author would add more features, such as: a context menu when I right click, more options to fill more variables in my texts such as forms. Overall, great tool, just needs more features.

Please help how I can start to use it. Thanks

- (2024-12-04) Ana Joy Dacoycoy: Easy to use. Making my typing easier and faster.
- (2024-11-24) Chrissie Farrell: This is great. I just wish that the cursor wouldn't shoot to the end of the sentence after inserting the shortcut I created. For example, I am editing already typed work and I have to fix the spelling of a last name for which I have a shortcut made. It'll type out the name correctly when I enter the shortcut letters, but then shoot the cursor to the end of the period in the sentence it's in. I then have to back arrow to get back where I was editing the name. (Hard to describe). It would be great if cursor point would settle right after the word it just entered.
- (2024-11-24) BLEE DEAR: So far not had ANY issues with this! Sadly, I've so many shortcuts I cant recall all but I like the fact that it opens sep window not the current working window. Simple, quick and easy to use! Had too many other similar extensions that simply did not work! THANKS!
- (2024-11-08) Gavin Brenkus: I love this it is actually required for all of our employees to use
- (2024-11-06) doesn't work.
- (2024-10-04) Maritoni Osgood: It works SOMETIMES. I literally have to input it twice, sometimes thrice for it to work properly and show up. It's quite annoying because I do double check to see if it worked and at first it shows that appears on my screen but then come to find out later that my shortcut did not in fact work.
- (2024-09-27) Aria Chaudoir: Incredibly helpful for writing math flashcards in quizlet
- (2024-09-06) JP 777: It works good but it does not appear to work in Facebook
- (2024-08-30) Jaruanporn Saetia: Good
- (2024-08-26) Jeffrey Krebs: works in Gmail not docs, unfortunately it has issues in a number of online applications - good potential, needs testing
- (2024-08-07) Dan Fox: Doesn't work in GDocs. Already tried saving the shortcut, closing and opening Chrome.... It just doens't work outside the exptension.
- (2024-07-30) Du mmy: This app shorten my time in typing. Highly Recommend:)
- (2024-07-25) Chloe Fang: why i cannot use, i ald set the shortcut but it does not come out
- (2024-07-16) R J WiL: brilliant for small businesz
- (2024-07-13) Asaduzzaman Zozon: It is quite better and also free
- (2024-07-04) Elaiza Acoros: sometimes it doesn't work (for example in MS Word). it works mostly on notepads. i would also suggest adjusting the spacing in the "Input Your Shortcuts Here" section to make the macros more readable.
- (2024-06-28) Craig M.: Works great in Chrome on Ubuntu 22.04.
- (2024-06-27) Henry Jones: Couldn't get it to work on JIRA whenever I added comments, but worked on another website.
- (2024-06-14) Dan Nall: It appears to correctly place the expanded text where you need it, but 70% of the time what is saved is just the shortcut text. frustrating!
- (2024-06-10) Tim C: I wanted to use it with Outlook webmail which I'm forced to use for work and I couldn't get it to work. However, it did work for Gmail which I did as a test. Unfortunately, Outlook webmail is the app I really need it for. It also doesn't work with Google Docs. But, Google Docs already has something you can use already so no big deal.
