This bare-bones MIDI Player does nothing more and nothing less than play any MIDI.
I use MIDIjs as the lightweight JavaScript MIDI library.

- Doesn't allow Chrome to play MIDI files natively in the browser. I added this extension expecting to be able to click on Wikipedia MIDI files and play them in browser. To be fair, the extension doesn't promise to do this, but it would be great if it did.

- As someone who often plays around with MIDI files, this extension is a LIFESAVER. I always had to result to sketchy websites and such to play my MIDI files but ever since I downloaded this extension, I never looked back. If you are looking for something light, easy to use, I cannot recommend this extension enough. It has literally changed my life. Wow. Amazing. Fabulous.

- BareBones MIDI has transitioned to an offline extension retaining all the features from the original app. Google is discontinuing support for Chrome apps in the coming years, so this update future proofs the BareBones' legacy.

- Its awesome, just one problem.. I am currently coding a game, so I made a sound effect and tried to listen to it with this. It played an odd sound when I tried to do it.

- This app is AMAZING! I'm writing this review from a separate account because I'm at school, and they blocked Spotify and basically every form of music except for MIDI, and I've been downloading from Musescore ever since I found out this app existed. Wish I could go above 5 stars!

- It works! Thank you Spich! Yes: once in a while it chooses strange instruments (like cymbols and bongos for my Midi copy of "A Well Tempered Klavier"), but it's 99% just fine. Previously, I had nothing that would work on my Asus-300M. Craig

- Works really well, no lag, plays big files of over 100Kb with no problem (even tested some black midis), has a wide soundfont (as in not limited to piano, as a lot of chrome midi players are), plays pitch bends and other special effects. My only problem is that it sometimes chooses the wrong sound for an instrument though that is extremely rare. Apart from that, it works just as advertised. I especially like that it works offline. Well done splch : )
