• (2021-09-30) WildpawShecat: Out of all the Youtube ad blockers out there, THIS ONE does it PERFECTLY! Been using it for at least half a year now, almost forgot Youtube comes with ads at all! The filtering system I only use to try and remove all Youtube Mix playlists, does it's job well enough, but I guess since they're Mixes and not single videos it doesn't always block it. At least my feed isn't spammed with them anymore. For videos (non-mix) the filtering works perfectly tho. Honestly I got it for the ad blocker alone and it is SO WORTH IT! The thumbnail blurring and video title editor/autocorrect is flawless too. Next update suggestion: option to remove "are you still watching" perhaps? ;) Love it!

• (2021-04-18) Lightspeed: This extension is REALLY good and I REALLY REALLY like this extension. it has almost everything you want. it even feels like YouTube got updated. the only reason I give this 4 stars is because anytime I turn on "block all ads" , anytime I watch a video, at one point, the video will say "sorry. an error has occurred." I even restarted the site, HECK even uninstalled and reinstalled it and no matter what I do, it keeps saying the same thing whenever I turn it on. I hope the creator fixes this.

• (2021-03-13) Toria: So far I haven't actually had a chance to use the app but it seems to have a lot of very useful parts to it as well as the developer working on even more, which I like. He seems very enthusiastic about the project, which is always good. So far, you can blur out thumbnails that you don't want to see or block pages you don't want shown, something you would expect YouTube to already allow that is doesn't easily do, and for that, I give you a 4! LOL.

I'm thinking that'd be a cool, unique feature for this extension, but I understand if that's too difficult to pull off. • (2020-08-19) Savanna Donathan: I use this extension to block out triggering phobia thumbnails on Youtube. Anyone else with true arachnophobia probably understands that YT seems to constantly bombard people with clickbaity horror videos of spider stuff, and seeing those thumbnails can be extremely stressful. By setting up parameters for words like spider, tarantula, huntsman, etc. I no longer have to see those images, I just see a blurred thumbnail with a title that I've set ("Blocked tag in YTR" for me, but you can make it say whatever you like). So I don't have to see the images and I don't have to read titles like "OMG 2,000 spiders crawled out of her nose!!" or whatever. I know that this isn't really the intended purpose of the extension, but it has been such a HUGE help to me, and I recommend it for anyone who wants to avoid phobia-related anxiety. It's easy to set up, very clear and intuitive, and it's completely unobtrusive. Love it.

  So I have a few filter list set which blocks the unwanted videos but if I open them... The extension give me the option to "temporary unblock video "" and ""change filter settings"".... Is there any way to disable this feature(remove the options altogether and just block the video) as it wastes a lot of my time.

  I'd like to do a YT search for "Refugees" but not show videos with "news" in the title or channel name. (1) Does a multi-tag filter imply "AND" or "OR"? (2) I set up a filter called "News" with criteria 'Channel name contains "news" ' and set it to block, then did a search for "Refugees", and I still see results from channel VICE News and similar. I am not in incognito mode. I thought these results should be excluded from the search. What am I missing? Also in the search results none of them have the funnel icon to click on.   Hello, the Ratings preview option is not working for me. I tried the 3 options (colored box, modern bar, colored bar) but neither is working. When I choose one of the bar options, a grey bar shows above the video thumbnails, but when I hover over it with the mouse pointer, it just says "Loading"

  November 2020: videos "already watched" used to have a red progress-bar at the bottom of their video thumbnails. Those red stripes have now completely disappeared from all search-results + all playlist videos + all recommended vids alongside the active video. This is a very important YouTube feature for me (and I'm sure many others). I haven't altered anything on my computer since the summer, so I suspect something has changed with this YTR extension.

  Hello there, and thank you for the add-on. The auto-correction for video-titles doesn't work on every title, in which the letters above are contained. Instead of the title being the original, the next and previous letters of Ä, ä... are usually written in all-caps.

  I'm pretty sure the issue comes from your addon. All videos have exact 6 likes all the time and I can't give a video a thumbs UP anymore. It looks like the addon is trying to modify text on the wrong place.

  Whenever I look at my history the dark theme becomes disabled and the only solution is to turn off the extension, turn on Youtube's default dark theme, and turn the extension back on.

  I don't have the option to block channels anymore. If I can't this thing is useless for me because blocking keywords doesn't work. It will only block if the keyword matches case and there is no punctuation next to it. please bring the block by channel back.

  So, over the past month, a couple of issues have cropped up. First, the Dark theme only affects the top YouTube menu bar now on video play pages. Everything else is white. Second, blocked videos are currently still findable and playable. I know it's blocked because the title has been changed but they are still coming up. Thanks for this great plugin and hoping this can be fixed!
