COMPLETELY LOVE IT! Simple, elegant and customisable enough, just as it should be. Great extension to use with Brave because their new tab has ads by default which kind of defeats the point of Brave having an adblocker...

I really enjoy this extension! I have had 2 issues with the options. 1. I currently have the setting selected for the background image to change every time I open a new tab, using Photography and the curated selection. When I click the "Refresh Background" button in bottom right corner, it kicks off a "loading" section in the bottom left corner. It has currently been loading for over a week, and I've been seeing the same photo as my background, regardless on if I open a new tab, close the browser entirely, or change any of the settings within the extension itself. This has happened a few times, where it will work properly for a day or 2, and then will get stuck on one image for a week or longer. 2. I am not able to edit the weather city, I'm in the US and have tried to change it to a variety of cities, states, locations, or other countries, and it continues to say "loading" forever and doesn't let me click or change the city from Fairbanks. It looks like there's another commenter with the same issue, but I'm not sure if it's tied in with my 1st issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I love this extension and see myself using it constantly with work!!

There is no weather being displayed. The settings have no option to add weather. Also, the font for the time is extremely large. There are options to change the font but no option to change the size of the font. It is a simple page and it does load fast but would be better if there was a weather display and the ability to change the size of the font.

I enjoy the simplicity of this. I'm replacing a similar extension that will soon be rendered dead from MV2. The one issue I have is with regard to the Weather widget, when selecting a location it does not specify a state for cities in the US, making it very difficult when there are several cities that share the same name across the country. I cannot specify even the Zip Code as an alternative. If a fix can be readily prepared and applied for this, that would be wonderful. Knowing that the extension uses Open Weather Map for this data, would also be happy with the input accepting the OW city id - or at the very least exposing it in the dropdown selection for comparison.

I personally love the minimalism of the extension and how well made it is. I'd personally add one more star if I was able to add a search bar. Regardless of that, this is very well done! :)

Really great extension for a simple minimal UI for a new tab. Great to have a clean tab once in a while. I hardly look a new tab for more than 2 seconds but I make me feel better every time I see it.

Beautiful. Extension settings can be found by moving the mouse cursor to the bottom of the new tab page. A shortcut to that (or at least a hint as to where to find it) in the usual place (extension icon right click and extension management page) would make it less confusing on first use. Would be more useful with "most visited sites", "my shortcuts", and maybe a search bar (preferably with ability to choose different search engines), like the default Chrome new tab page has. Ability to choose a different weather engine would be nice, as well. Subtle semi-transparent text background would ease text readability on some images without obscuring the photo behind the text as the currently available "Black on White" and "White on Black" border options do. (Also, typo in the "Back on white".)

I have a bug with 24-hour clock, it has the 12 and 00 hours inverted. When is 12:00 (12pm), it shows 00:00 (12am) and vice-versa. But in the others hours, 13, 14 and 01, 02, etc... It shows right.

Bad update, added too many features and removed the timer/countdown. I liked this extension because it was nice, neat, and clutter-free — now it looks to be joining the customization smorgasboard with all the other new tab pages… All in all, not bad. EDIT: Too many updates changed it too much, and they happen at the cost of a nice and polished experience. The settings keep resetting themselves, and the only feature I needed — the timer — is gone. Configuration options are distracting. Looks like it's in the way of changing its name into Maxim. (It's terrible because I loved this extension! I used to have it on literally every browser profile on every device… I'll find a replacement)

I've recently reinstalled this extension after switching computers and somehow Minim has managed to get even better than it was before. This is probably my favourite extension ever, everything about it is just so perfect; the aesthetics, customization, simplicity, backgrounds, fonts - it's perfect. Minim makes every new tab exciting and beautiful to look at, and doesn't require fiddling with settings for hours or battling subscriptions or ads. The new updates added so many amazing features that make this extenstion even better than it was before. Highly recommend installing.

Theres a bug: When I choose to use color backgrounds, it still shows the "Photo by X" in the bottom left corner. It's distracting. Also it would be nice if the settings gear button only fades in on mouse move over the page, I really want it as minimum as possible

Please add a gallery for the photos, it is very frustrating to find a background you like with no means of bookmarking it.

beautiful colors, minimal in that it has background and option for custom message and time or weather . The weather api is not working for me though it is through dark sky and the api is changed to apple weather . I dont know if this means weather is defunct or not

Contained some hateful imagery hidden in a lot of beautiful backgrounds. Came across a picture with content from a known transphobe, one of their pictures was an audiobook with the name and content of a known anti-transgender bigot. 1-star. keep your terrible, hateful views out of your minimalist app.
