Fixes the YouTube™ algorithm to remove mainstream media results from searches.

A browser extension to remove Mainstream Media results from YouTube™ searches.

Click to open the De-Mainstream popup next to your browser url then select what channels you want to hide.

Navigate to YouTube.com, type in a search and the channels that you have selected to hide will not display in your search results.

You can now right click on a YouTube™ in a search page and select "Block" or "Unblock" to add your own custom channels to the block list.

K C 2023-12-31: doesnt work as of dec 2023. Hasnt worked for a while before that I believe. Now have to wade thru all the fake news media and YT commie algorithm pushing drivel such an CNN/MSNPC/CBS/NY Slimes/Wash Compost/Young Turds/BBC/Sky News/PBS/CBC... Good luck finding relevant whole speeches from President Trump without scrolling past a bunch of junk. Maybe the dev can tweak it so it works again?

Edsknife 2022-05-23: I remember it working before, but it wasn't working today; searched "Ukraine" and all the results were mainstream. I've always slowly lost functions of the extensions I use; there has to be a better way. Could probably do it better without the Chrome Web Store. Might have better luck on Itch.

hippo potamus 2022-04-19: Tried to add manual channels and it does NOT work. Why do you have local fox channels on the list but not the main fox news official checked marked channel?????? !!!! I manually add it and it STILL shows up, worthless not sure if Im going to keep this extension.

Barry Williams 2022-02-05: This no longer works. I've noticed it stopped filtering mainstream search results since sometime late January 2022. Was disappointed to see all the propaganda and other mindless garbage return. This was a phenomenal extension up until now... hope they fix it.

If you're sick of mainstream propaganda showing up on your feed no matter how many times you click "do not recommend channel" or report for spam/sexual harassment and they keep showing up on your feed. this is the extension you've been looking for all your life. Just install it, don't even think about, DO IT!
