This extension offers integration with the Internet Download Manager application. By default the toolbar icon is disabled. In this mode, downloads are handled by the internal download manager of your browser. Once the extension is enabled from the toolbar button (when the icon is not gray), a download observer is installed. This observer monitors new downloads and sends these requests to the Internet Download Manager application and cancels the built-in download. Note that even if the integration is off, you can still send downloads by using the right-click context menu items over a link, image, video, and audio elements.
Notes:
1. For the extension to work, you need to have the Internet Download Manager application installed.
2. For the extension to be able to communicate with the downloader, a small native client is required. This native client can be found at https://github.com/belaviyo/native-client/releases. You will get the instruction on how to install this native client when the extension tries to communicate for the first time.
