Where IDM is paid but Xtreme Download Manager(XDM) is totally Free and easy to Use Just Install the App and add Extention to your browser. Though Nothing can be Perfect so it also has some Cons (Check other Reviews for that). But still deserve Love from my Side.

The problem I was having was any Chromium based browser I've used automatically starts the download which is two parted; When you first click Manage your exports https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout/downloads?user=#### you're brought to a popup dialog box Download data Since this export is too big for a single file, we've split it into 4 packages. Anyways I wanted to just initiate the download of the actual files then have them automatically picked up by the external download manager freeing me up from having to keep the browser dedicated to this task since it is a large download can't really afford the risk of waiting hours to have the browser freeze or crash due to some other problem. Anyways I've tried JDownloader which is a great extension however it doesn't work right out of the box with Google Takeout, the only way around I found was to actually start the process then go to the internal download manager chrome://downloads/all look at the file it is downloading then copy the link that the file is actually being downloaded from as in my 2nd URL example above then paste that link into JDownloader & click start downloads then stop the download in the browser so i'm not downloading 2 of the exact same huge file especially due to it dropping bandwidth slowing down the process and disk space. Even with trying multiple different browser extensions developed on the Chrome Web Store to be integrated and pass the download link to JDownloader it would never make this transparent as a 1 click solution. :( This brought me to Xtreme Download Manager XDM Offered by: https://subhra74.github.io/xdm & installed this Chrome extension on new Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10 as well as this Chrome extension. As with JDownloader it doesn't work but what's worse is if I right click on a webpage image or something of the sort XDM just adds many links into a 1 panel box which I have to keep clicking Cancel numerous of times! At least have a Cancel All button next to that so someone can make the box go away but on another note have an interface that lists all the files it is about to download below and the name of the file in a top split style screen as JDownloader does. The method you have is tedious and not really user friendly as other conventional download mangers. My last search for a free & open source DM led me to uGet https://github.com/ugetdm/uget-integrator/wiki/Installation installed the extension as well https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/uget-integration/efjgjleilhflffpbnkaofpmdnajdpepi & PRESTO!!! 1 CLICK AND IT AUTOMATICALLY CAPTURED GTO files!!! Fix your software & extension to work with GTO & I'll update my rating.

The app has still a lot of room for improvements so I'm still keeping IDM. Kudos to the developers for making this one free. *EDIT: XDM suddenly doesn't work on the sites I download as it use to. now there is no point in keeping this

• (2021-01-30) Galahad AtPlay: Hmm, the monitor's on in Linux? Good to know. On my win-pc, XDM's monitor has been deactivated in any of my browsers for quite a while. This is my goto youtube downloader; with the ability to choose quality, click the popup, done. One hell of a DL manager. And it's free. It's not perfect, of course, but I don't have anything enough for me to make a fuss. For first-timers, don't forget to tweak the options first before doing anything, okay? ;) The app won't do a thing if you don't activate the browser monitor, for example. I use Opera and Firefox, btw. Cheers.
