This add-on is a fork from https://git.synz.io/Synzvato/decentraleyes

Original description
Websites have increasingly begun to rely much more on large third-parties for content delivery. Canceling requests for ads or trackers is usually without issue, however blocking actual content, not unexpectedly, breaks pages. The aim of this add-on is to cut out the middleman by providing lightning speed delivery of local (bundled) files to improve online privacy.

• Protects privacy by evading large delivery networks that claim to offer free services.
• Complements regular blockers such as uBlock Origin (recommended), Adblock Plus, et al.
• Works directly out of the box; absolutely no prior configuration required.

Note: Decentraleyes is no silver bullet, but it does prevent a lot of websites from making you send these kinds of requests. Ultimately, you can make Decentraleyes block requests for any missing CDN resources, too.

Am I Currently Protected?
The following testing utility shows you if you are properly protected. It's the recommended and, probably, fastest way to see if this add-on is installed, enabled, and correctly configured.

Thank you for uploading and updating this on the Chrome web store :) Works great and very quick on Vivaldi on MacOS and Linux, don't forget to generate and add rules to uBlock if you use medium or hard blocking mode.

Amazing extension. 10/10. I used to use Decentraleyes, but after knowing about this extension and using it i will recommend it over Decentraleyes. Great extension, just waiting for it to be approved as it doesn't show up by simple search without it.

Trying it out after having Decentraleyes for a few years. Privacy Guides and the Opt Out podcast spoke very highly of it so will give LocalCDN a go!

Is this extension working on Chrome? The counter remains on 0 no matter which website visited. EDIT: Nevermind, it's working. Thanks.

Good to replace Decentraleyes at first. But after using it for quite a while I have to say I don't recommend this extension at all. Far too many websites break with it on. I constantly have to disable it for things to load properly. I check these sites on their website checker and it always says no problems found and website should work properly except they don't at all. Things like buttons don't load up. and sometimes serious things like some big companies' support links don't even show up with this extension on. No point in having this if I constantly have to disable it...

The latest version of the extension (2.6.5) defaults to setting "blockGoogleFonts" to "true" but has no UI for changing this, probably because the feature is supposed to only work in Firefox-based browsers; to change this, you need to export your settings, change the appropriate line in the text-file, and then re-import, and otherwise, many sites will have unusual fonts.

The issues I had with Decentraleyes are now amplified in by this local CDN. Their link to test and check their service doesnt work and after installing this majority to 90 percent of sites fail to load at all. I have to disable this to do my browsing and working. I request dev to improve this so that one doesnt have to install this to disable it to do the browsing. See ublock origin, it doesnt hinder in browsing speed or loading of pages. I have it will be a rightful successor of Decentraleyes where the Decentraleyes fails or fails to update itself.

Thanks for the great extension! The Internet has become faster and more private with it. :) I recommend using together with Privacy Badger, ClearURLs and UBlock Origin, also a very cool extension for protecting browsers from tracking - Trace.

It is very easy to use. Can you add some front-end font libraries in the next update? For example: font awesomecan also replace some foreign public CDNs with https://www.jsdelivr.com/

Decentraleyes is not regularly updated, and does not include as many features. Highly recommend this one
