Description from store Safer Browsing extension allows you to browse the internet without concerns about dangerous content. While surfing the web, Safer Browsing will notify you anytime you visit a dangerous site and will give you the option to redirect your browsing to safe content in one click. The extension is intuitive and provides complete online browsing protection in one place. In order to provide the extension feature, your default search settings will be modified. How does Safer Browsing work? Browse the web as you would normally, while Safer Browsing is running in the background. Once you enter a site with dangerous content a pop up offering to keep safe and redirect you will appear on the screen. You will be able to choose to view the unsafe content or allow Safer Browsing to redirect you to a safe site. How do I uninstall this extension? 1. Click on the Chrome menu icon on the top right corner of the browser 2. Click on Settings 3. On the left side of the window pane click on Extensions 4. Choose the extension from the list 5. Click on the remove button 6. On the pop-up window click on the Remove button Permissions used and reasons: "Change your Search Settings" - In order to perform the function, the extension requires to modify your default search engine to a sponsored search engine. “Read and change your data on a single website” - For our product to work, we require access solely to the websites we own and manage. “Tabs” - The extension requires this permission in order to read the website you are visiting and determine whether it is safe or not. “Alarms” - The extension requires this permission In order to trigger the notifications. “Notifications” - In order to notify you while browsing a dangerous content the extension requires this permission.
